This is my own tale of Frodo’s struggles after his escape from Mordor and the destruction of the Ring. Yet, if Aratlithiel will permit, it is inspired in part by her heartbreaking CU story “Son of Drogo” wherein, and not for the faint of heart, the worst thing imaginable befalls Frodo. It is this in addition to the loss of the Ring that haunts him in this story.
