Biography:

I''m a 26-year-old girl from Austria. I''m totally obsessed with hobbits, especially Frodo. I have written some German stories but in May 2003, I decided to have a try in English as well. Now I''ve almost totally switched to English stories and am always trying to improve my style.

Disclaimer:
None of the places and characters are mine. I've merely borrowed them from Professor Tolkien.

What are the Barrow-wights? Why did the wight tell Frodo that they were “waiting” for him? What did it plan for the hobbits, and why? How were the hobbits lured up to the Great Barrow? What explains why Frodo was treated differently than the other hobbits, awakened sooner, and found the strength to resist the call of the Ring in such a desperate situation? This story is my own look at the events on the Barrow-downs from the FOTR chapter ‘The Fog on the Barrow-downs’.

*A star as bright as Frodo Baggins should not be taken from this world without leaving something of himself behind.* ----- As long as I could remember, it has always struck me as the greatest tragedy of the LOTRs that neither Frodo nor Bilbo, the two most exceptional hobbits of the Shire, ever had an heir.
