Elves travel to Mithlond in growing numbers seeking passage to the West, burdened by a mounting despair they call sea-longing. Meanwhile, Tar-Anárion rules in Númenor and Celeborn and Galadriel -with Celebrían in tow- have left Nenuial and settled in Ost-in-Edhil, where Celebrimbor and the Mírdain have welcomed Annatar.
