Tolkien quote of the day:

‘It is ever so with the things that Men begin: there is a frost in Spring, or a blight in Summer, and they fail of their promise,' said Gimli

‘Yet seldom do they fail of their seed,’ said Legolas. ‘And that will lie in the dust and rot to spring up again in times and places unlooked-for. The deeds of Men will outlast us, Gimli.’

bullet Between There...And Back Again by cpsings4him Last Updated: 4/24/2004
A mostly canon gap-filler (though some of you more well read Tolkien fans may find some elements to be AU...but only slightly I hope!)set right after the destruction of the ring. Sam and Frodo's rescue and recovery are the main themes of this story. Pretty Frodo-centric ('cause he's my favorite!), but will cover Sam as well. All four hobbits and a certain wizard and a particular ranger turned King will also be featured. Rated PG-13 simply for lots of poor little pitiful wee-hobbit suffering
