Is this galadriel

Ah, so your Halbarad is considerably older than Aragorn? It would be interesting to see how the two came then to be friends.

Lovely vignette.

A real encapsulation of their journeys together. And the sailing always brings LOTR to the end for me.
Thank you!

The little resentments and exhaustion that must arise when such a fearsome task is undertaken, are so clear here.
Thank you!

I love the simple pleasures of a normal life you show Aragorn dreaming of. But his power is related to those things I think. He can help give them to other people. A tough life though.

This is utterly beautiful.

he knows that he chooses Pippin as if by helping this youngest Hobbit he can make up for not being able to help his brother.

Ohhh, that's very heartwarming. A very nice moment.

Wow! That's simply perfect!

So much said with so few words. I recognised many linguistic means which I could name, when I was at school. Unfortunately that's a long time ago ;-)

And I loved the image of the small boat carrying both friends as one to the Undying Lands!

Author Reply: Thank you, Andrea. Trust me - I wouldn't be able to name any of the linguistic means either ;-)

What a stunning vignette, Avon. Your choice of words is lovely. Your characterization of Aragorn in his movieverse incarnation is spot on. I wonder if real life generals have such a moment of truth when, after dreaming of peace, they are charaged with going to war?

Great job.
