I like the birds. :D Kingfishers are lovely.
Morooned on an island by the incoming tide? Funny, I've just written that in my original story.
Author's reply
Yes, I like kingfishers too! As for being marooned on an island by the tide, I was thinking of 'Black Eyes' at the time. Although being marooned with Amrothos is probably not as much fun as being marooned with Eomer!

Hmm, and whatever makes me think that the head will *not* belong to her brother...?
The scene takes a good deal of suspension of disbelief, but we let you have that Lia. ;-)
Author's reply
LOL. I think the whole story asks for a willing suspension of disbelief! However, it's very difficult to come up with a way in which a young woman can abduct a grown warrior. And I never claimed this was anything but pure frivolity ;-)

Hi Lia,
I'm glad that your hand is getting better.
I really liked the scene of Lothy running and her struggles with that minor lord. It was very real. Of course, Leona acting as a real Knight was perfect.
I know that the Prince is very worry about her, but at some point he had to understand that he puts her in danger too, with all those hunters after her.
I have been thinking what are they doing about Eomer, is anyone looking for him too? If a Princess and a King disappear, you will think that both kingdoms will assume that they were kidnapped by enemies, but they only talk about a princess sailing away, and Eomer?
Happy Easter and enjoy and rest. Get well!
.
Author's reply
Hello Fantasia,
I believe Imrahil just acted out of worry and did not think his offer through. He did stipulate he wanted her back 'safe and unhurt', but unfortunately Corethir wanted more than just the reward.
And it's very strange that nobody is looking for Eomer, isn't it? I wonder what's going on at Cormallen?
Sorry for teasing you, but it will all come out very soon ;-)
Happy Easter!

Hello Virtuella,
wow, you've been busy reading and reviewing! I'm pleased to hear you find the story entertaining and thanks for letting me know what you make of it. I'm just still taking it easy with my hand (or trying to...), so I hope you'll forgive me if I keep my replies short.

Hello Elfingimp,
Yes, Corethir is a right scumbucket, isn't he! However, don't worry, he's about to get his just deserts. He was warned after all.
Happy Easter!

Ah, there are all kinds of consequences for her actions!! Things Lothiriel never even considered when she decided to run away. I'm glad that she's having to face those consequences because she's in a position where almost everything she does is scrutinized by others - not just her family - but all of the people. I like it! :)
Thanks so much and please be gentle with your hand. As much as I want to read the next chapter right away (like tonight!), I would much rather you take care of yourself so it isn't further damaged.

Oh, ho! "Wild Daughter", indeed! And our Lothy is becoming sort of a suffragette heroine? My, my! And the power of words shows the differences in their cultures rather clearly here. What she calls from the Gondorian noble society's point of view "a string of mistresses", Eomer calls simply "infidelity". In the scene in "The Two Towers" when the three grey cloaked hunters rise out of the grass in front of him, Eomer says that the men of Rohan do not lie. I would extend that to trustworthiness in keeping their vows, as well. And he has tried to work up to telling her TWICE now. But I do not think she would believe him at this point! He has dropped so many little clues, his knowledge of "Eomer King would like this or that"...and "the bed in the royal chamber is huge"...No, I think it will have to come from one of her family calling him by name in front of her. Or perhaps Aragorn gives a state dinner to celebrate her safe return, and Eomer makes a grand entrance, announced by a herald! Something quite public and embarrassing! And now, are Lotheriel and Leona going to be the girl's public witnesses in front of the Prince of Ithilien? His cousin and his brother-in-law might be considered to have a little influence with him? Do take care of your hand.

Very nice chapter and very entertaining, I love the couple they don't even have a clue who they are with! I still wish Eomer would just tell her before some trouble happens or someone catchs up with them. Hugs The Imp P.S. I hope your hand will start feeling better soon.

Oh, definitely do not worry about answering every review. I am sure I speak for all of your readers when I say "just get better so you can continue this!"
From the sweet, wistful note of the last one, his "I will make it right, you should marry for love," to the excitement of almost being discovered by her father's FLAGSHIP with her brother in charge this is just to good to stop yet! I do wonder, tho, how she will react when they appear at her home or Minas Tirith and someone recognizes Eomer?

I am enjoying this incarnation of Eomer and Lothiriel very much. But I can't help but keep thinking of what must be going on back at the camp. Not only has Lothiriel disappeared, which must be terrifying to her father and brother, but Eomer has disappeared as well, which ought to be terrifying to the entire nation of Rohan! Can they put it together from the clues? Or has Eomer managed to get word to them that he/they are safe, from the village they stopped at? Either way, there's going to be a lot of 'splainin to do!
Author's reply
Hello FantasyFan,
yes, I'm sure the camp at Cormallen is quite busy! However, since the story is told from Lothiriel's point-of-view we won't find out till she does, which will be a little later. As for Léona sending word to her father, he has actually given his word not to do so, it was one of Lothiriel's conditions to let him get in the boat ;-)

Oh I love this story!! She poisoned her brothers wine, attempts to kidnap him and now we find out that she has burned his boat in the past! Excellent! I like this girl! Horrible spot to stop at though, why'd he freeze? Did he hear something or did it occur to him he'd already crossed her and she just doesn't know it yet?
Author's reply
Hello hell_kat,
I agree this Lothiriel has turned out rather wild, but then that's the kind of woman it takes to abduct a king. As for why he froze, yes, it dawned on him that he has already crossed her and perhaps he should worry about what she'll do to him when the truth comes out ;-)
