That was a fun read. I loved The ruse of the courier coming to check out the goods. Laughed out loud when she rolled her “brother” in the carpet . Great story , enjoyed this so much, hated to get to the end.
Author's reply
Thank you! I had a lot of fun writing this scenario, especially the part with the carpet (I seem to remember I was giggling away like mad). Glad to hear it made you laugh out loud :-)
And thanks for reviewing!

Excellent. And they keep burning the biscuits! Heh!
Author's reply
It somehow seemed suitable. He will probably get a fair bit of teasing for it.

His turn to abduct her this time? Heh! Turnabout is fair play, I suppose.
Author's reply
He can't let her do all the abducting, it would be no fun ;-)

Eomer probably knew it was coming too ;-) Let's hope he doesn't catch a cold from it!

Corethir is a real piece of work, isn't he? Nasty git! Now, to see the matter properly ended.

It was a pleasure to have Eomer finish him off!

I have to admit it was fun to keep interrupting him. But then he's brought it on himself, really.

She's a bit of an arsonist...

She still is mistaken regarding his identity. And he's willing to continue playing along. At least she's falling for him--hard!

Very hard! But she won't thank Eomer for it when she finds out!

And she still fails to make the connection. She does have some things to learn yet. At least he now knows she is resourceful as well a pretty and spirited. And she knows he is inventive. Heh!
Author's reply
It would have been no fun if she'd made the connection already ;-) Also if you've got an idea fixed in your mind as the 'truth', it's difficult to see the signs. The reader knows so much more.

She is being a bit slow at the moment, isn't she? And now she sleeps? If he weren't as he was, he could now take the boat back to the eastern shore and drift back to the camp once more. But he will, I think, do much to earn her trust.
Author's reply
I think that unconsciously she's already taken his measure and knows she can trust his given word. And she's grown up amongst men of honour, so is really a bit of an innocent still.

· Chapter 3: Chapter 3
At least I can no review! I take it that it was Eomer himself that came guised as a messenger to take her measure, and that he liked what he saw. Then she mistakes one of his companions as the King, her already drawn to him without yet realizing it.
And now, trying to kidnap her brother, she's instead managed to capture the very man she's been trying to avoid? How typical and funny!
Author's reply
Hello Larner,
what a nice surprise to hear from you again! And you've been busy reading ;-)
This turned into a story full of twists, some of them even taking me by surprise as I wrote it. But I'm really pleased to hear you enjoyed the story.
Thanks for reviewing!

What a fitting epilogue! Loved the glimpses you gave us of Eowyn and Faramir, my second favorite couple. Poor Eothain, you'd think he'd have learned his lesson. I'm glad Eomer and Lothy were able to convince Imrahil that nothing inappropriate happened. Hope to read something about my favorite couple again soon?
Author's reply
I'm pleased that you liked the epilogue! As for more, there's nothing in the pipeline at the moment, but you never know. However, I'm working on an original story right now, so I'd really like to finish that first.
Again, many thanks for reviewing!

Lovely chapter---I'm glad they got the chance to talk things through. I like your nickname for Lothy here, "Pirate Princess"...is that another potential story line? ;-)
Author's reply
Don't get the plot bunnies started! It would make for a funny story line...

I can only imagine the juicy gossip circulating around Gondor at this time--must have been quite scandalous, but very romantic I must say. It's a good thing there weren't any tabloids back then. ;-)
Amrothos, as always, is my favorite Dol Amroth prince.
Author's reply
LOL, I can see the headlines in my mind! And Lothiriel would have been beleaguered with paparazzi...
And Amrothos is my favourite as well, that's why he usually manages to sneak into my stories even when his older brothers don't.

I enjoyed reading Lothy's thoughts while waiting for her father to be summoned. And Leona's "ambush" proposal was very very romantic. The first time I read this I was wondering if we'll ever see the young couple again.
Author's reply
Léona realized he was running out of time, so he finally had to take his chances!

Lothy seems to trust Leona completely here, which is a good sign. The first time I read this it seemed very encouraging to me. Found myself wishing that he had "confessed" to her before all of this ever happened but then, it would have led them elsewhere.
Author's reply
Yes, I agree. I think that in an emergency Lothiriel's true feelings take over, so she just does as he tells her, like you said, trusting him blindly.

I loved the details in this chapter--the young runaway couple make a nice "mirror" of Leona and Lothy. I feel a bit sorry for Leona here because it's obvious he's working up some nerve to tell her something.

Hello whitewave,
first of all sorry for not answering sooner - with the school year winding down, life's been a bit crazy around here!
And since you've been reading on, you know that soon there is even more reason to feel sorry for Léona ;-)
