Eww! Those men sounded like someone I wouldn't want to meet alone anywhere, Creepy! Yeah, Eomer to the rescue! (Oops I meant Leona)I feel for Lothy having no control over what happens to her I don't know if I could handle that. I am enjoying this adventure greatly almost wish I was along in the canoe. Hugs The Imp

Author's reply

Hello Imp, no, I wouldn't want to meet those men down a dark alley either. Good thing she abducted a suitably threatening man to take on her adventure ;-) And a river journey like that would be quite nice, wouldn't it. I think there's something very soothing about slowly flowing water - perhaps even Léona will learn to relax eventually. Thanks for reviewing! Lia

whitewave · 26 February 2010 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6

It seems to me that Leona is enjoying the outing a lot, despite the discomfort. I almost don't want them to reach Minas Tirith at this rate, even if I'm wondering how Lothy's family, Aragorn and the Rohirrim are taking this back in Cormallen.

Author's reply

Hello Whitewave, I think the 'outing' must be a nice change from the mounting pressures of his position, so it's quite likely he's enjoying it. As for what's going on in Cormallen, that won't come out for a while, but I'm sure Imrahil at least will be busy! Thanks for reviewing. Lia

Radbooks · 26 February 2010 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6

This is such a fun story! I'm really enjoying it, you paint very vivid pictures of both the landscape they're traveling through and the characters and what they're 'traveling through'. :)

Author's reply

Hello Radbooks, I had (and am having) lots of fun writing this, too. And I live about half an hour's drive from the Rhine, so we sometimes go for walks along there. That's the kind of river I picture in my mind, only mostly untouched by man. Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Linda Hoyland · 25 February 2010 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6

Ah, I can see she is beginning to fancy him! Eagerly awaiting more!

Author's reply

Hello Linda, like she said, maybe she's abducted the right man ;-) And I'm already working on the next chapter, so it shouldn't be too long. Again, many thanks for reviewing and I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the story as well! Lia

Linda Hoyland · 25 February 2010 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Well Eomer has made certain no one else would want to marry her as in those days she would be considered "ruined" after a night however innocent with a man. I expect her cooking skills are making him think she's make a good wife after all. I like the way Eomer tells the truth without revealing who he is!

Author's reply

Hi Linda, well, Lothiriel still thinks she can get away with it by having Léona disappear before they reach the Harlond - however, her brilliant plans have misfired before ;-) And as I see it, they might not necessarily have the same rigid morals in Middle Earth as in medieval times in Europe, so while it would certainly be scandalous for her to travel down the river 'on her own', when all is said and done she's still the Princess of Dol Amroth. So maybe after lying low for a bit she might still make an advantageous marriage. Not that she cares when she's in a temper! And if all else fails she can hire on as a cook ;-) Lia

Linda Hoyland · 25 February 2010 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Delightfully hilarious!I am sure this must be making Eomer rethink his plans!

Author's reply

Hmm, yes, I think he will probably congratulate himself on a narrow escape. Or not?

Linda Hoyland · 25 February 2010 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

What a wild scheme!I can imagine a reluctant bride would be desparate, though.

Author's reply

Hello Linda, this Lothiriel is rather wild, isn't she. And of course the whole scenario is not really completely serious, but it was fun to write. Lia

Linda Hoyland · 25 February 2010 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Poor Lothiriel! It must have been very hard to be a pawn in diplomatic games. Now you have me hooked on reading what she is planning!

Author's reply

Hello Linda, wow, you've been busy reading! And I agree with you, it can't have been nice to be a pawn to be used by your family. However, it makes for a good story ;-) Thanks for all your reviews! Lia

Crumpet · 25 February 2010 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6

"I found it difficult to concentrate on my food with such a lot of wet man sitting there..." I think I'd have a hard time concentrating across from a wet "Leona" too! Loved this, loving the story so far. More, please!

Author's reply

Hello Crumpet, yes, Lothiriel is doing her best in a difficult situation ;-) The hardships of river travelling... Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Elflingimp · 25 February 2010 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6

Poor confused Lothiriel she thinks she's falling for the wrong man! LOL! Poor Eomer when she finds out! I can't wait. He!He! Hugs The Imp

Author's reply

Hello Imp, I'm feeling a little sorry for the two as well! In a way they're both struggling with their emotions and how to express them. But you're right in that there might be some fireworks further along... Lia

galimeril · 24 February 2010 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6

awww! I can't wait for the reveal! This is such an interesting story! Love it! Galimeril ;D

Author's reply

Hello Galimeril, you will have to wait a little longer, for I'm not done playing with them yet ;-) Lia

Fantasia · 24 February 2010 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6

She is falling hard for him, no doubt. It is really a nice trip for them, they will know each other well before reaching the city. Eomer will be in a lot of trouble when she finds out who Leona really is.

Author's reply

Hello Fantasia, I agree, she's falling hard for Léona. Too bad a simple rider from Rohan is not suitable husband material for a princess of Dol Amroth ;-) And I also agree that there might be trouble looming on the horizon... Lia

whitewave · 17 February 2010 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5

What a perfect first date! I loved this very much and am wondering how and when Lothy will react when she finds out the entire truth.

Author's reply

Hello Whitewave, Lothiriel just doesn't know that she's on a date ;-) As to how she'll react, you'll see, but not just yet... Lia

Fantasia · 17 February 2010 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Oh, a picnic!!! this two will be so much in love when they finish their adventure, that they will marry right away. I can't wait for see Lothiriel reaction when she finds out who Leona really is. Waitng for more and thank you

Author's reply

Hello Fantasia, nothing like a bit of camping in the wild to bring people closer together, is there! But you will have to wait a little longer for Lothiriel's reaction, for Léona has been digging himself into a bit of a hole here ;-) Lia

galimeril · 11 February 2010 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

I was laughing all the way through! This is wonderful, though now I am sure my roommate thinks I'm nuts :) "You are in the water, I am in the boat" PRICELESS! Thank you for the marvelous study break!

Author's reply

Hello Galimeril, I have to admit, I was giggling quite a bit while writing this chapter. It's so much fun to play with their different levels of knowledge. And this Lothiriel knows what is a good 'bargaining position', doesn't she ;-) Good luck with your studies! Lia

Linda Hoyland · 11 February 2010 · Chapter 1: Chapter 1

It is good to see a new story from you!I think I know who Leona is!

Author's reply

Hello Linda, it's nice to have you on board for this journey! I hope you'll enjoy it, but it will be a while until the truth about Léona is revealed. Lia

Fantasia · 10 February 2010 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

I'm sure too that the King of Rohan won't want to marry her after "the escaped episode" This chapter is just delicious, from the beginning to the end. I can't wait for more. Thank you

Author's reply

Hello Fantasia, yes, who would want to marry a girl who has the guts to wrap people up in carpets, roll them down hills and almost drown them? Clearly no sensible man would do so ;-) More next week, I hope! Lia

Radbooks · 3 February 2010 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

I'm looking forward to seeing the look on 'Amrothos' face when he wakes up! :)

Author's reply

Hello Radbooks, yes, I really enjoyed writing that scene. This Lothiriel takes no prisoners, does she! Lia

whitewave · 2 February 2010 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Ooh! I loved this very much! I can almost imagine the look on the abductee's face!

Author's reply

Hello Whitewave, let's just say he will be less than pleased by Lothiriel's resourcefulness ;-) Lia

Fantasia · 2 February 2010 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

She is getting in such a big trouble...mistakes after mistakes, from mistaking Eomer to don't know who to mistaking him with her brother. Well, at least they will have time to know each other. You are an excellent writer and I really enjoy all your stories, even if I don't review them as I should, but know than I'm reading and expecting your updates.

Author's reply

Hello Fantasia, that's part of the attraction of this scenario to me, that Lothiriel is so blissfully unaware of what the reader knows. And thanks for letting me know you're still reading my stories, I appreciate hearing from my readers. Lia

Byrsdebbie@aol.com · 2 February 2010 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

I cannot help but giggle each time I read one of these chapters and you end them so perfectly! LOL! People around me are starting to think I am crazy when I'm on my laptop. She had better beware when dear old umm.....you know who makes it out of that water he will NOT be a happy camper, and Oh! to be stuck on that island with him with the boat gone! Hugs The Imp

Author's reply

Hello Imp, fortunately the boat is still there, and Lothiriel is definitely in the 'better bargaining position'. However, you are of course right that the occupant of the carpet won't appreciate being dumped into the Anduin. I would have thought that at that time of the year it would carry melt water from the mountains as well... More soon! Lia

galimeril · 30 January 2010 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Oh my, how interesting. I had rather thought I had guessed the identity of "Leona" but this is shaping up to be quite the adventure! I can't wait to see what her plan is, though I'm wondering if the title has anything to do with it?:D It's all so very exciting! Is the red haired man Gimli? Very well written, and quire the intriguing plot line! Have a wonderful weekend! Galimeril ;D

Author's reply

Hello Galimeril, the title is a bit of a give-away, of course, but I'm still hoping to be able to surprise my readers. You know my Lothiriels, their brilliant plans never quite turn out the way they expected ;-) As for the red haired man, it will come out later who he is, but he's one of the Rohirrim. The hair I made up, but Tolkien described him as 'tall and strong', so I borrowed him. Thanks for reviewing and have a lovely weekend as well! Lia

Elflingimp · 26 January 2010 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

EEEWWWWWW! This is gonna be good! The Imp jumps up and down and claps her hands, can't wait to find out what the little minx is planning! Hugs The Imp

Author's reply

Hello Imp, well, you know me. Let's just say that Lothiriel's brilliant idea won't quite turn out as she thinks. But then that's all the fun for us ;-) Lia

whitewave · 25 January 2010 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Oooh! I'm liking the developments. Go Lothy!

Author's reply

Hello Whitewave, she'll go, don't worry ;-) Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Cuthalion · 22 January 2010 · Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Léona they call him, yes? Hmmmm... why am I unable to fight the impression that someone's travelling in disguise? Delightful beginning of a (doubtlessly) delightful tale! Mona

Author's reply

Hello Mona, I have no idea what you mean, Léona is just a simple courier sent by the King of Rohan ;-) More soon, I hope! Lia
