Larner · 24 February 2006 · Chapter 24: Apple Picking

Such memories have become healing instead of painful, and they move slowly toward the time of reunion.

Larner · 24 February 2006 · Chapter 23: A Little Fun with Friends

The aloneness of an advent season, even such a long one as this, is itself blessed.

You do have such an interesting way of looking at things, Larner, that I never considered. Love that you are enjoying this! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Larner · 24 February 2006 · Chapter 22: Freedom

The breakage has been mended at last, the sword reforged more shining and beautiful and ready to bestow beauty than before.

Author's reply

Now that's an interesting way of looking at it! I never thought of that. I think Sam is going to have to wear sunglasses when he sees his treasure again but then he'll be shining nearly as bright. :) Hannon le again for all your reviews. I am so glad you are reading this dual love story. Like with your story, I, too, have discovered that the length just keeps getting longer and longer. Yours I feel I am reading in real time, that I'm there with Frodo and all his sufferings and that's why it's hard to bear sometimes like it would be watching someone dearly loved decline day by day, week by week. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Larner · 24 February 2006 · Chapter 21: Rosie-lass

A sweet awareness of the lives added to, the joys multiplied.

harrowcat · 24 February 2006 · Chapter 30: Passing of the Gaffer

Nice addition Antane.

harrowcat · 24 February 2006 · Chapter 29: Mathoms

What lovely memories to recall. Even the painful ones are a reminder of love.

Larner · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 20: Confirmation

A joyful coming to terms with himself.

Larner · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 19: Candles

The candle in the dark, representing the light remembered and loved. Very lovely.

Larner · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 18: Victory at Last

Lovely caring for the one left behind, and see he still feels Sam's sacrifices are the more meaningful. Stubborn Baggins! Heh!

Larner · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 17: Death in the Family

Losing family is indeed difficult at any age. Am so glad that both were supported through this and hope each found the healing of the rift swift and sure.

Queen Galadriel · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 29: Mathoms

Well, shouldn't have pressed "post" so soon. I can't resist: is this the *third* or *fourth* today, hmm? :) I think you've beaten me at last. Oh, BTW, did you get my e-mail? I know, I'm being impatient, but e-mail trouble is the last thing in the world I need. The network has been choppy for me lately, and that tends to mean things occasionally get lost. God bless, Galadriel

Queen Galadriel · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 29: Mathoms

Awwwww! I love to think of Frodo taking care of little Sam...which is why these first chapters of AGT are so much fun. Oh yes, we all know what a wagon accident is like. I wish Frodo could have been there to pull the children too. :) But now I reeeeeeally want to go write more of the Gardener's Tale! :) God bless, Galadriel

harrowcat · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 28: Snow Angels

Lovely memories to have Antane. We just don't get enough snow here for it to be so much fun.

harrowcat · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 27: Paradise

Libraries affect me that way too Antane. Although the ones I go to don't allow eating or drinking and snoring is much frowned on! *g* I love the idea that Frodo is going to add to that wonderful store-house of knowledge and that he doesn't neglect to learn from the living lore-masters as well. BTW I fear that I have, inadvertently, mis-led both Galadriel and you. Any idea of me being a writer of fan-fiction is very much at the dreaming stage. I keep a journal on occasion and write free prose/poetry when the spirit moves me; usually when on holiday or retreat. I suppose the closest I have come is to write versions of the Gospel stories as a form of prayer/meditation. But, who knows, anything might be possible when I have such good examples in front of me. I know that one of the things that holds me back a little is the realization the RL- work and family take so much of my time at present. But thanks to you both, and others for the encouragement to at least try!

Queen Galadriel · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 28: Snow Angels

Awwww! What a sweeeet chapter! I laughed reading the part about the fun in the snow and especially the trying to kiss one another good-night properly! LOL! Very cute! I've certainly had my share of such experiences, and they're fun and memorable no matter if you're the older one or the little one. :) God bless, Galadriel

Queen Galadriel · 23 February 2006 · Chapter 27: Paradise

I saw the title of this chapter and for a minute I hoped they were going to be reunited, but I couldn't help laughing when I found that "paradise" was the library! Yes, that would be Frodo...and me, for that matter. Very clever remark at the end. :) God bless, Galadriel

Hannon le, dearest! Have you gotten my other e-mails? I haven't heard from you in some days besides these reviews which are so appreciated and I want to make sure you got the other messages. Namarie, God bless, Im mil le, Antane :)

Queen Galadriel · 22 February 2006 · Chapter 26: A Merry Birth

*grinning* Love it, love it! I can just see the Gamgee children doing what my siblings and I always did: "Can I hold baby Merry, Dad?" "No, I want to hold him first!" "But I'm oldest!" "Hushhh! If you're all quiet and still, you can all hold him. Sit down now, all in a row, that's it." :) And I love to think of Frodo so proud of all the children! God bless, Galadriel

harrowcat · 22 February 2006 · Chapter 26: A Merry Birth

Lovely chapters Antane but I am going to have to be very mean an only leave one, short review for the lot as it is very late here and I simply must, MUST go to bed. My physical friends, (as opposed to the virtual ones I feel I have made reviewing on this site,) thank you because you, among others, have really helped me to appreciate and value the need to communicate in friendship. So....Goodnight, dear. Sleep well. I love you.

Oh my dear harrowcat, what a marvelous review - hannon le!! I was reading some reviews of Galadriel's where you said she had inspired you to write some things yourself. I have thought more than once that it would be wonderful to read something of yours but then had to accept that you were a reader and not a writer, but I'm so excited you *do* write - please let us see!! Namarie, God bless, Im mil le, Antane :)

Queen Galadriel · 22 February 2006 · Chapter 25: A Shire Wedding

For the hundredth time I'm so impressed by the love and sense of family these four share, and that just shines from your work, Antane! Thank you for this; I think I can face two full hours of solid Algebra now. :) God bless, Galadriel

Glad I could help! :) Namarie, God bless, Mil le, Antane

Queen Galadriel · 22 February 2006 · Chapter 24: Apple Picking

Awww! I love the image of all the Gamgees out apple picking. But my favourite part of this is the anecdote. Yes, I can see Sam and Frodo making themselves sick with too many apples like typical young hobbit lads. LOL! God bless, Galadriel

Queen Galadriel · 21 February 2006 · Chapter 23: A Little Fun with Friends

Oh, this just keeps getting better! :) :) :) I love it, Antane! But it does bring home the sadness that Merry and Pippin can't come. Still, Frodo is healed and will be even more alive and beautiful than he was before the Ring when Sam comes. God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

Hannon le! I think Sam is going to have to wear sunglasses when he sees his treasure again but then he'll be shining almost as bright. What a day that must have been! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Elanor Silmariën · 21 February 2006 · Chapter 22: Freedom

Yes! Finally! Love this story so far!!!I am so glad Frodo knows when Sam's children are born and that Sam knows something wonderful has happened to Frodo. Keep writing, please! Elanor

Author's reply

Hannon le, glad you are enjoying! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

harrowcat · 21 February 2006 · Chapter 22: Freedom

At last!!!! And great description of the feeling of being clean.

Queen Galadriel · 21 February 2006 · Chapter 22: Freedom

*throws hands in the air and whirls* Hooray! Oh, how wonderful! Now I really wish Frodo and Sam could be together physically, to celebrate! Hurrah! *hugs you all, Frodo, Sam and you* :) :) :)

harrowcat · 21 February 2006 · Chapter 21: Rosie-lass

P.S. Looking forward to Queen Galadriel's story to link with that lovely nursery rhyme.
