Suddenly another voice spoke, low and melodious, its very sound an enchantment. Those who listened unwarily to that voice could seldom report the words that they heard; and if they did, they wondered, for little power remained in them. Mostly they remembered only that it was a delight to hear the voice speaking, all that it said seemed wise and reasonable, and desire awoke in them by swift agreement to seem wise themselves.

While We Live by j_dav
"The King yielded to Sauron and felled the White Tree, and turned then wholly away from the allegiance of his fathers. But Sauron caused to be built upon the hill in the midst of the city of the Númenóreans, Armenelos the Golden, a mighty temple." -As seen from Tar-Míriel's perspective. She must choose between loyalty to the Elf-friends and duty to her husband. Sauron's manipulations, Ar-Pharazôn’s obsession with immortality and Amandil's grim plans to save his people all weave a web of tragedy about the last Queen of Númenor. Cast - Tar-Míriel, Ar-Pharazôn, Amandil, Zigûr(Sauron).

Prisoners of Conscience by j_dav
"And it came to pass that Tar-Palantir grew weary of grief and died. He had no son, but a daughter only, whom he named Míriel in the Elven-tongue; and to her now by right and the laws of the Númenóreans came the sceptre. But Pharazôn took her to wife against her will, doing evil in this and evil also in that the laws of Númenor did not permit the marriage, even in the royal house, of those more nearly akin than cousins in the second degree. And when they were wedded, he seized the sceptre into his own hand, taking the title of Ar-Pharazôn (Tar-Calion in the Elven-tongue); and the name of his queen he changed to Ar-Zimraphel." The tragedy as seen from Amandil's eyes. Amandil was lord of Andúnië during these tumultuous events. Cast: Amandil, Tar-Palantir, Tar-Míriel and Ar-Pharazôn.

The Ranger and the Hobbit by Cairistiona
An AU-ish tale that’s less AU than it is “what if”: what if, as the Dúnedain patrol the region around the Shire, Aragorn has an encounter with an intrepid, resourceful hobbit, one with the same mettle as Bilbo and a similar yen for adventure? And what if Aragorn also has an encounter with some men with less friendly intentions? Tookishness and Rangerliness both abound in this tale of a quiet patrol turned disastrous. 2010 MEFA nominee.

Olórë Malë by Eärillë
For Teitho October 2009. "Weird Tales." Nominated on MEFAwards 2010. Legolas and Aragorn experienced something together but refused to talk about it to each other, at all... How does one separate which is dream and which is not? A twisted parody of what the title should have meant. (Yes, I am evil.)
