I was actually chuckling a little as I read -- seems putting small children to bed goes about the same no matter what world you're in... :-P I also liked Gilraen's character here. This was a very nice story, I enjoyed it. :-)

“Now is not the time to think of the future, my lady,” he told her gently, “Now is the time to focus on the present, and the small victories. We got this little one in bed, didn’t we?” he gestured to the sleeping Estel. “That should be enough for tonight." What lovely advice. This is an adorable story.
