The Ranger and the Eagles  by Cairistiona 14 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 10 on 1/31/2011
Most satisfying. Having grown up with my mother's kennel, I've fed and cared for little ones, and have had to rub their little tummies to get them to relieve themselves. It was fun watching Aragorn terrified by having his wish granted, and I, too, will miss Durvain and Menelris while they summer in warmer climes.

Lovely images to hold in my imagination.

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner! I'm so gratified that these images will stick with you... that's what any author wants to hear from a reader. And I imagine, without the help of Beorn's skinchanging roars, Aragorn will probably be doing his share of rubbing that puppy's tummy!

Awww, Aragorn is a puppy-sitter. :) So sweet. *melts*

The final parting with the eagles was so sad. :( *sniff* I do hope they will meet again.

Author Reply: Thank you, Ellynn... I'm glad you liked that picture of Aragorn and the little puppy. :) Like Beorn said, Aragorn might as well make himself useful! And somehow I bet they'll all meet again... although the question is, when? Thanks for the review!

What wonderful friends Aragorn -- and the King -- have made. And of course I'm completely charmed by the puppy!

He would merely be relieved you were in one piece, although the rarity of such an unscathed arrival might alone be enough to put him in a swoon.

I love your humorous touches.

Author Reply: Thank you, shirebound! I had a feeling you might like the puppy. *g* As I figured that Aragorn would have had to have done something to keep himself busy while he recovered. Glad you like the lighter side, as well. :)

Ah! I will miss those Eagles. I hope that Aragorn can fly again soon and enjoy the ride. Love Beorn changing and Aragorn and the puppy reaction. Beorn is the last one? his son is not a skinchanger?
I want to see Glorfindel's and Elrond's faces too, that wil be priceless. And i fyou can include Halbarad and the Rangers, they will be terrified!

Author Reply: Thank you, Fantasia! So glad you enjoyed the tale--there's an epilogue to come. And yes, Beorn is the last skinchanger (except for Radagast). Apparently he didn't pass that along to Grimbeorn.

I hadn't thought about how Halbarad might react to seeing Aragorn ride an Eagle--he probably would have a complete meltdown for worrying Aragorn would fall off. LOL

Thanks again for the review. :)
