Oh yes, this certainly does tip the scales of the Fluff-o-meter---it's delightful! I smiled all the way through it. What a lovely little fic. LOL at Scamp attempting to chew on Aragorn's bootlaces all the time! Oh goodness, reading this is making me homesick for more Quarantined stories! Author Reply: Yay, I'm glad this gave you a smile! I'd love to come up with another Quarantined plot sometime.

A most charming and delightful story. I loved to see our beloved characters through the eyes of scamp. She's a very wise dog indeed. Author Reply: It's been fun to see her evolve into a fully-realized character over the course of these stories. I'm very happy you enjoyed this.

This is absolutely charming! What a delight to see our beloved hobbits and Ranger from the viewpoint of a puppy. :-) Nice job! marethiel Author Reply: Thank you! The Professor gave us trees that walk and spiders that talk, so I think even puppies would have a certain "extra something" in Middle-earth. :)

Ah, lovely, Shirebound! Every hobbit should have a Scamp to snuggle up to. And a very apt reminder that, compared with canine trackers, the greatest huntsman of the Third Age wasn't quite so hot! Author Reply: LOL, you're right about the tracking! But Aragorn does have a few skills of his own; Scamp would probably rather chew athelas than breathe on it. :) I'm glad you enjoyed this.

Ah...after two days of computer woes that my meddling are just making worse I can still reach 'fluff-dom headquarters'! All is right with the world after all! Author Reply: Awwww, I'm glad there's fluff to see us through the worst of times. I hope your computer woes don't go on much longer.

It *is* so delightful to snuggle with a warm, loving pup. Your comments about Strider being so tall got me to wondering about Scamp... is he hobbit-sized or what we would think of as human-sized for his breed? Author Reply: In "Reflections of the Past", where we meet Scamp, we find out that she's very tiny, even for hobbit-pups, and Aragorn calls her the smallest dog he's ever seen. I imagine her as quite a tiny pup by anyone's standards.

Great description of four hobbits and a ranger through Scamp's eyes! I especially liked the "boots procedure" :-) And Elves! How exciting for the little dog! I bet, Pip-dog would react likewise if she ever picked up the scent of Elves. Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed this wee romp! I think Scamp would look forward to that daily attack on the boots. :) Awwww, Pip-dog. I hope she alerts me if there are ever any elves (or hobbits) in the neighborhood.

What a treasure! I so loved this...could almost *feel* what Scamp was feeling. (Did I ever tell you that when I was little we had a dog named Scamp? A story for another time...) Glad to see you writing. Author Reply: Thank you, my friend. And I look forward to hearing about *your* Scamp!
