| I like the shift in point of view from inside Aragorn and Legolas's heads to inside the snake's head. Hmmm, I wonder, in a confrontation between this new little pet of yours and Shelob or Ungoliant, who would win? Hmmm. And we wonders, doesn't we, Precious, how that nasty snakesy got down there, we does. Is it a natural creature, or a servant of Morgoth like old Ungoliant was. Ohhh, not enough room down here for that roller-coaster, but always plenty of room for a long rope and a sharp drop! Here is a crown for the Queen of the Cliffhangers! Author Reply: I'm glad you like the pov shift. I thought it would be neat to see how the creature was seeing things. It just might turn out that this creature is a decendent of Ungoliant, though not in spider form. At this point, it's hard to know. Morgoth might well be the connection, especially since he could have built the tower. Oh yes, there is room for that. Crown gratefully accepted. :o) | |

| Bad place to stop! :-) No, I'm joking. your writing is brillinat, but cliff hangers like this make me worry for Aragorn and Legolas. I'm asking myself why I didnt read this eariler. it has such a great plot. It's also a great story, and I hope to read the next chapter soon! | reading the intro in the first chapter, my first idea as to what 'it' is is a dragon. I don't think I'm right. Exploring ruins sounds really cool to me but exploring ruins in an evil place with something that wants to eat you: not so much. 'probably rats'- oh Aragorn. That is all I'll say. Can't wait to read more! Sofia Author Reply: No, it isn't a dragon. It's nature will be revealed as time goes on. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Exploring is fun, but this place should have been given a very wide berth. Leave it to the ranger to come up with rats. If he only knew, which of course, he will all too soon. :o) | |
