Lovely insights into Aragorn and his healing touch. But if Sam truly wants to cover the Shire in Lemon trees he is going to need an awful lot of glass-smials! *grin*

Author Reply: Yes, he will! Perhaps someone will take up that story someday. :)

Thank you very much, Harrowcat.

A wonderful conversation! I liked Aragorn's explanation--in some ways it reminds me of my husband trying to explain healing touch to me. Did you do some research on alternative healings?

And of course, there is Aragorn's attitude: He is the exemplary Servant-King, and he is one who truly believes that to one who is given much, much is asked. Frodo understands this, though he tends to apply it to himself rather than his friends.

I really enjoy the underpinnings of love, loyalty and respect that are so much a part of your stories.

Author Reply: I've been aware of contemplation/meditation for much of my life, and perhaps Aragorn's 'healing touch' has a measure of that. Glorfindel just had to touch Frodo's morgul wound to bring it warmth and relief, and Aragorn may have learned quite a bit not just from Elrond, but Glorfindel as well (which is perhaps a plotbunny for someone!).

Thank you for your lovely words. Aragorn and Frodo are both very special, and Cormallen really is one of the last times they'd have (except for the trip to Rohan) to really converse.
