Ooooh, poor Faramir! Helps got to get there soon, doesn't it? And I, too, have a bad feeling about the White Wizard. Author Reply: The White Wizard has not shown his colours to any yet - but this might be the turning point??? And Faramir - who can say?

Excellent advice from the elven brothers - grief can, in fact, kill. I've lost track of the number of older folks I've cared for who've died only to have their spouse pass away a short time later. And oh, I hope they don't go to Angrenost. Saruman's not likely to be help, he's more likely to try and mess them up. Author Reply: I found it also interesting that Elrohir was able to share and Elladan was not. Grief's manifestations are so different, person to person. I'm hoping some of this will help Ell with his own grief. And Aragorn, though he has seen death, has not experienced it in the familial sense. Seems to me, with his running all over the Angle, etc., that he and Gilraen did not see each other much. I wonder if she 'blocked' him to protect his heart? Life is interesting. Thanks for reading and replying!

Oh, dear--visit Saruman, when he is probably the one behind the assassinations? Don't do it, Aragorn, unless you are VERY, very wary. Author Reply: I found it fascinating in ROTK that Saruman falls under Sauron's spell almost immediately after he uses the Palantir. In 2989, his treachery was still unknown, but I believe it was there, hiding in the caves and tunnels of Angrenost. Thanks so much for reading and responding. It does NOT look good for our three.

Why indeed are there birds about? I hope they are birds, at least. Author Reply: I have to giggle, Larner. This was a slight mistake, not where I had intended to go with it, but then the muse laughed (bwwaaahhhaaahhhaaaa) and made them a little dark.... what kind of birds indeed?

So, he goes home first before hading south into Gondor to Faramir's aid. And he's met by Imladris's answer to Fred and George.

Indeed a matter for grief; but Theoden must find the traitor, of course. Author Reply: He knows that, even though Amandil has been found out, someone in the Mark sabotaged that wagon way back in one of the first chapters of My Sword Sings. To leave Edoras unprotected, so to speak, for too long a time, is too dangerous. And, sadly enough, there is nothing he can do for Faramir at this time. *sobs*

Oh. *sniffle* Poor Faramir. Poor Indis. They all need help so badly. Hope it arrives soon... Author Reply: Once again, Indis will have to create a solution herself. And it will lead into danger. But she will do anything to save the Steward. Anything.

Oh dear, things look very bad for the little Steward of Gondor. Indis and Theodred are in a sorry state as well, though not in any peril, just worn out and despairing. They need some help. You do realize that if you kill off Faramir in this AU, I will scream and yell at my monitor screen and generally behave in an indecorous fashion, don't you?! Author Reply: *covers head* I did not 'mean' to kill off the other one in the last tale - the muse hit me over the head, I struggled furiously, but could not win against her. NOW - Surgical Steel says he might have been saved. NOW!!! As for this little lad - I have no plans for his demise... yet... *ducks* As of now, and the story is far advanced from the chapters posted here - the boy still lives. Does that give you hope?

Seems a good place for Aragorn to head first - to consult with the 'senior physician' before going down to look after poor Faramir. Looking forward to seeing more! Author Reply: *giggles* - I was going to have him go straight south - but a little voice said, Nay.... Besides - he might pick up a friend or two for help!
