At least Aragorn has their horses. I know the trolls are supposed to be stupid, but I've noticed that it isn't the trolls who are bumbling around in Elven territory, is it? I'll bet Legolas and Aragorn stay out of Troll country in the future, for awhile anyway! Author Reply: Horses are good in this situation. You know, I never thought of it like that, but you are right. You could say that the trolls were just minding their own business in their own territory, when they were invaded! I think you are right again.

I'm hoping that the trolls left guarding Legolas will get into an argument and give Legolas a chance to escape. I felt sorry for the tree. I suppose to Legolas it must feel like watching someone hurt an animal Author Reply: That would be nice. Maybe I can coax the plot bunny into doing that. :o) I totally agree. Legolas would feel horrible to see any part of the Nature he loves suffer.

oh my God! Will they ever be able to escape these stupid trolls? Poor Legolas, poor Aragorn. They are not on the lucky side of life at the moment, are they? Lai Author Reply: I think they are wondering the same thing. :o) I would say that was an understatement, unless you consider the word lucky as referring to bad luck.

More dumb, stubborn trolls! Gads! Author Reply: You are right. But, if they were smart, they would be much more dangerous!

Ah...poor ol' Estel and Legolas. The Man is being chased by a contingent of trolls and Elf is STILL stuck in the tree!!! :D I hope the two of them can find one another again. And soon! Author Reply: Mercy, they are still in a pickle, aren't they? Maybe things will change - or not. :o) I totally agree. The sooner the better.

poor guys...they can't catch a brake no matter how they try. At least they found each other though! Author Reply: Poor guys indeed. It's good breaks they have trouble with. Bad ones come their way with regularity. They found each other, yes, but they aren't reunited. :o)

Oh, I hope Legolas doesn't do anything foolish to distract the trolls from Aragorn. Is it too much to hope that he'll be able to leap on his horse and they both gallop out of troll country? They're both long overdue for some pampering (and possibly some of Elrond's foul teas) in Rivendell :) Author Reply: It would be very much like him to do just that. Your scenario sounds great, but somehow I don[t think that's the way things are going to go. As for Elrond's foul teas, I think L & A would gladly drink all they could get their hands on, if it meant they had left the trolls behind and were once again in Rivendell.

You are torturing them, as you right well know! Come on, Aragorn--get yourself and Legolas out of here! And may this group fight the other two! Author Reply: Yeah, I do know that. Poor guys. :o) I think both of them will do their best to get away. Hopefully, all the trolls will clash and knock each other off. How much are you willing to bet it will happen that way?

I´m pretty new to this site, but your stories I know quite well and this one is another brilliant one. Well, with this story I´ve learned how annoying trolls can be. I ever thought they were only big and stupid. Your descriptions however have taught me otherwise. I think you really enjoy it to put our heroes through the wringer - dont deny it! *g* I think they have earned a brief respite. Will Aragorn react in time ? Was Legolas sacrifice to be discovered worth the trouble ? More please ! Lai Author Reply: I'm so pleased that you enjoy reading my stories, including this one. I think Tolkien's trolls were big and stupid. And of course, Peter Jackson's were, too. Mine have a bit more brain power, so there can be more interaction with L & A. Well, I guess you've figured me out, so I won't deny it. :o) Those questions will be answered soon. Stay tuned.

Oh, Oh, Oh! Two roller coasters now. The one Aragorn is on, and the one Legolas is on, and they each helplessly watch as their friend's coach aims for for a collision with increasing numbers of trolls! Author Reply: That is a very interesting way of describing the situation. Let's hope any collision that occurs will happen between the trolls only and leave our guys out of it. Keep your fingers crossed.
