The Three Towers  by shirebound 24 Review(s)

How healing it must have been for Frodo and Sam to see the king's statue restored! This journey in reverse is fascinating to read. You are doing a beautiful job of showing how each member of the Fellowship is/will be affected in such different ways- Pippin remembering Denethor on the pyre, Gimli riding off to see to the burning of the Orc bodies and Legolas's understanding of what else Gimli hoped to accomplish.

Ah, lots of lovely Fellowship details. Legolas' singing for one. I've always liked the way that Tolkien has his characters willing to raise their voices in melody.

And what a good idea to get rid of the corpses...*brrr* I'm glad Sam and Frodo don't have to see that. But, oh, I hope Shelob isn't hungry!

“We’ll make a hobbit of you, yet.”

Is there anything better? :D

Another great chapter! I love king still crowned with flowers, and how you describe Aragorn as both kingly and Ranger-like, and how the people of Minas Tirith gawk at the procession. It all seems so real. And eeee, I'm eagerly awaiting chapter four! :D

Another lovely chapter - you make it very clear that this particular journey is not just about Frodo, but about *all* of the Fellowship finding healing from the soul-wounds they've taken during the Quest. Just wonderful!
