I've been reading or reareading all of your fics lately and I just want to say how impressed I am. You pull off angst and humor with equal skill, and the "Desk Boy" thread that runs through the friendship of Legolas and Aragorn over the decades is a perfect touch. Thanks for sharing.

Legolas makes so little of his title I have often wondered how long it took the rest of the fellowship to realise that the Elvenking was in fact his father if they missed Elrond's introduction. Legolas's fears and worries for his father and realm are well described - it must have been a hard decision to make, to go with the fellowship, and not fight against Dol Guldur.

Stories based around The Hobbit seem to be few and far between, so I like to see Legolas at the Battle of Five Armies. It seems inevitable that he was there. Thranduil's worry and concern is well written - I love to see father/son scenes like this.

Seeing the fragile beginnings of the Fellowship is wonderful. Thank goodness Elladan & Elrohir provide some relief - and that Pippin is gearing up for a similar (if less physical) role. Thank you.

Wonderful chapter in a great story. This chapter was my favorite. I love the relationship between Thranduil and Legolas. It was also fun to think of Bilbo and Legolas meeting. Thanks for writing Jule

Brilliant! I loved the understated humor and suggestion in this. Loverly! P.S. Seen pirates 6 times...scary, eh? ~Lily

What can I say? Boys will be boys, I guess. Actually, the subject of elven sexuality is an interesting one. (I look at that sentence and cannot resist saying "no duh" to myself.) I wish Tolkien had been a little more generous than he was. So go you!

OMG, the last line was too much, cut Strider down from the tree? That image is just too funny. Of course Legolas just has to get in on some LothLorien action, actually those elf maidens must be lining up for him! It was a pleasure to read this piece and the banter exchanged between Legolas and Aragorn, not to mention the food. Your interpretation of Elves and their interactions with other races is right up my alley!
