Paradox of the Fourth Age  by Alassante 98 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 19 on 8/31/2008
At least Galadriel knows who is her father, even if she is unsure of the circumstances. And to see the might-have-been in Laureanna's heart must have been quite the shocker.

And Elrohir is becoming willing to postpone knowing the truth--for now, at least. That is good in this case. Perhaps the day will come when all will know.

Now if this Elrohir will follow THAT Glorfindel's command to help anchor Laureanna to this reality. It is indeed a paradox!

Author Reply: Yes Galadriel is trying hard to figure things out and as a friend said - you know its burning her up to not be the one who already knows it all. :) Elrohir is going to have to learn patience - one thing he's not really good at so we shall see how he does.

Very nice...

You feel here for Laureanna as she is to meet Elrohir's family and her father as well. Galadriel knows something, but not all of it, its interesting she could read that Glorfindel is her father.
And she mumbled goodnight Ada to Glorfindel, did he hear that I wonder.

Will Elrohir take his grandmothers advice and let Laureanna have her secrets for now...
Very nice... update soon...

Author Reply: Yes - her seeing Glorfindel was Laureanna's father wouldn't have happened if Eru hadn't wanted it to so she must accept that there is a reason. Now - you guys just have to wait and see what that reason is.

Very nice...Laureaana has found Elrohir, but he wants to know what secret she holds... I feel for her. And Glorfindel, is haunted by dreams, I wonder will this help him find the one he loves...

Very lovely...

Seems as if Manwe himself is the only one not inclined to play matchmaker between Glorfindel and Indil--even Eru is apparently involved--and their daughter has her own intentions! Nice!

Very nice... Finally we see Elrohir and Laureanna bond in both times, nice work there. You can see how much they love each other.
But both of them being seperated is hard, and now she sees that one of them is hurt and believes one to be dying or already dead.

Very good...

Update soon...

Author Reply: I'm so behind on comments! Thanks so much for your comments. I really enjoyed this chapter - bringing them full circle to being married again.

Ah, so in this alternate universe one of the twins is injured at the very least? At least she has know the joy of her marriage! This is a very complicated situation in which she wasn't yet born when she went back in time....

But at least in this one Sauron has fallen. That is always good.

Author Reply: I'm trying to get caught up on comments! Thanks so much for your review. Yes, it is always good when Sauron loses - otherwise he just causes havoc in the world. =)

I'm glad Laureanna and Elrohir are finally together again! Their first night (or should that be second?) was wonderful :)

I still think the Valar are very cruel to Laureanna - telling her the ring has been destroyed, but not what she really needs to know. Like everyone else, I'm desperate to know too - what's happened to Elladan and Elrohir???

Author Reply: I'm late on comments. *hangs head* Thanks for your review. The Valar aren't always known for being fair. And what fun would it be if they told her everything!?

It gets better and better... A great piece....

I love the courtship of Laureanna and Elrohir and how he stood up to Glorfindel, that was brave of him.

Laureanna, you have to feel for her. She sees a vision that may or may not happen and it is about her parent. She needs more direction and has none.

Elrohir is her saving grace, and she has confronted him, at least he now amits he loves her. She wants him to make her his wife, if he dies she will wait for him.

A very good piece...Love it...

Author Reply: Thanks so much. I'm glad you enjoy it. I knew I needed to let Laureanna get back some of her fiery spirit now she's been in Middle Earth for awhile. She *is* Glorfindel's daughter but to be Elrohir's wife she had to have a lot of spirit and backbone as well. It was time for her to show it. ;)

Ah--an Elven wedding! No need for parties and invitations and special dresses or anything else--they are married once their hröa are joined. And he accepts that he loves her as much as she loves him. It's about time that they join! And I'm glad she has Legolas as her voice of reason. Things are indeed going as they are supposed to be.

Author Reply: Yeah if only mortal marriages were so easy but then again since we would be bound for ever - perhaps not lol Yes, Legolas is much needed to temper her impulsive actions. The Valar knew what they were doing there. =)
