Moments in Time  by Larner 13 Review(s)
harrowcatReviewed Chapter: 33 on 6/17/2007
While I've been reading, rereading and appreciating this wonderful masterpiece you've had two reviews.

You've managed to capture the true essence of each contributor so well. I happily quote it all back to you but if I have to pick then I would go for
Aragorn, Pippin, Sam, Merry, Esme and Pal, .....and all the rest!
One to print out!!!!

Author Reply: Thank you so, Harrowcat. So, you like Pippin's especially? I'm glad, for he's indeed one who would see to the depths while on the surface he appeared a mere giddy youngling.

Three reviews now, at least, and I'm so glad you feel this is indeed a keeper. Thank you so--I'm truly honored. Thank you.

Oh wonderful!!! Let me see now....the first verse is: Aragorn speaking, the next one is Sam, then Merry, then Pippin, then...Esmeralda? then Galadriel, Arwen, Eru? and the last is all together.....correct? I think I like the next to last verse best...but all are lovely! See, you CAN write niccceeee poemsessss.......

Author Reply: The drive between home and work has become a time when ideas start working on me, if I don't have a cassette book or some such thing to listen to, at least. And last night that cadence began insinuating itself.

I'm not truly a poet, and there are a few places here where the scanning bothers me even now, but at least it works.

Actually I'd thought Gandalf rather than Galadriel, but she could easily be the one; and I wasn't certain if the last was all together or perhaps Gimli or Legolas--they let me hear their verse, but not make out the voices. Sometimes I hear what I write; sometimes I see it. This time it was the former.

And thank you for the vote of confidence. I'm nowhere near your quality, I suspect.

Thanks again. (And poor Gollum didn't get written here, did he? Poor thing! Left out again!)

I made thee for gladness, for wonder, for singing,
a beacon of Joy all might see.
The path, it lies open, the way set before you
that leads through rejoicing to Me.

How beautiful, Larner. A truly lovely Song and message for our dear Frodo.

Author Reply: I'm so grateful you appreciated that portion especially, Shirebound. Hopefully I'll be able to read more today.
