“Where am I?” He looked around wildly. “When?” Poor Frodo! Those dreams are very vivid - and strange. What about the boat? Is this the past or the future? To me, both seems possible. Scamp is a wonderful dog :) Concerning your question: I vote for Gandalf, or maybe Pippin - accompanied by an adult of course, for it's a long way to Crickhollow ;-)

I must suppose the guest will be Gandalf, or at least I hope it is. Would love to see his wisdom and guidance applied here to the Dunedain brooch and the trees' message. Glad Frodo's throwing off of the sap (I can't truly consider it a poison) isn't as horrible as was that of Halbarad. And nice to see Scamp is house trained!

Another vivid chapter. Frodo's dreams were so creepy, and isn't Scamp the best dog ever? What a smart girl she is! :) Ooh, a visitor! Well, I'm hoping for Pippin of course, but Gandalf would be wonderful as well :)

"Good pup, Scamp, good job." And Rangers taking good dogs on their walk! The trees are sharing quite a lot of history with young Frodo. Seems like he's on the road to recovery . . . *looks suspiciously at shirebound* My guess is Gandalf. Or poss. Tom Bombadil. Hee! Lots o' fun! Amy

Poor Frodo! How terrible to have dreams like this and be sick! I wonder, though, why he asked for Bilbo's age. Did the trees reveal other things to him as well? A visitor? This wouldn't be Gandalf, would it? Or maybe Saradoc? *is curious*
