"Merry sighed, and nodded. “Good lad. See that Halbarad rests, and that Thalguron doesn’t go hungry, all right?” “Go hungry?” Thalguron asked in amazement. " LOL LOL I love this chapter. Frodo seeing what we know is the truth, Bilbo saying "let's go", Merry again being the young gentlehobbit and taking care of the guests. I also just love his wondering if Estell knows any songs and stories in case Frodo needs comforting. Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

"Burglar! Frodo thought suddenly. I’m a Baggins, aren’t I? Bilbo stole the trolls’ purse, and the Elves’ keys, and dragon treasure, and Gollum’s... He stared at the door, his heart pounding with a sudden excitement. I could borrow Bilbo’s ring." Wow, that must have been a strong spell! Frodo would never have thought of such a thing, now would he? I love Bilbo in this chapter! He would never allow it to have his boy tied to anything - except himself! I hope you get my meaning! Sometimes English is a little difficult ;-) Anyway, I'm curious to know, what it was that Frodo found in the Old Forest!

Oh, dear. I'm not so sure that it's a good idea to take Frodo back to the Forest right now. He did have that certain "gleam" in his eye. I hope Aragorn and Bilbo can keep hold of him!

I liked how you avoided the cliche of Frodo escaping through that window. The Rangers did not fail in keeping him from escaping! I also enjoyed Thalguron'a amazement of the very idea of his going hungry! And I'm looking forward to seeing what the trees have to communicate to Frodo (and... I love your bringing in the dream of the Sea into it!)

Oooh, I loved Frodo's dream and his ability to understand the trees! His vision of Aragorn was just lovely. I really like Bilbo here, insisting to go with Frodo, and how Aragorn calmed Frodo. I love their friendship :)

It's fascinating to see a foreshadowing of Frodo's ensorcelment by the ring here in his communication with the trees. The way they had him all wrapped up for a while there was quite scary. Thank goodness for Aragorn. And I see Bilbo has lost none of his thirst for adventure.

Ooh, the plot thickens! Interesting idea to have him understand the trees. Very curious now to find out what it was that he found with the bones.
