Force of Nature  by shirebound 19 Review(s)

I love your Merry. He's very intelligent and intuitive! So young, and yet he knew what was going to happen and did exactly the right thing to distract Halbarad at the perfect time. Frodo will always be my favorite character, but I hope we see a lot of Merry in this story.

And speaking of Frodo, I'm worried about the poor lad! I'm afraid the longer you make us wait for him to fall ill, the nastier his illness will turn out to be. *chews nails*

;D

*slams head into desk*
You do not know how it creeps in, but you sure know how to keep it going!
Can I take Scamp home? Just for a bit? Without your knowledge? Is she hypoallergetic? Otherwise if I... "borrow" her she'll have to be kept away from my allergic house-sharers...

Lots of yummy angst . . . but the wrong person! *Bangs spoon on table.* Fro-do! Fro-do! Fro-do!

;)

“What if you weren’t a good leader? Would your men be stuck with you?”
LOL! I love your little Frodo. He's very practical. But the way he asks this question also shows, that he is convinced that Estel is a very good leader.
I like "What if" questions :)

But Aragorn's last remarks let my worries for Frodo grow! Let's hope, he doesn't run away into the forest and gets lost!

Aragorn sighed. “Did you hear anything I just said?”

“Of course,” Frodo said impatiently. “I might get dizzy, fall asleep...” He returned to more important topics. “Why are you the captain?”

LOL. I just lovelovelove your Frodo and Aragorn. And your Frodo and Bilbo, and your Frodo and Sam. I love laid-up Rangers learning to love hobbits. I guess I just love Q-Universe. It is like nothing else. Thanks for taking us there! I could live there!

"Cousin Bilbo,” Merry whispered, wiping his sleeve over his eyes, “I’m hungry.” He sniffed the air. “Is that soup?”

Now, here's a classic Q-Universe line. Merry is wonderful in this story.

"It is less easy to bear the pain of one we love, than to bear our own,” Aragorn said quietly. “But the worst is now over... for Halbarad.” And he cast a worried glance in the direction Frodo had gone.

This review just won't quit. I am really loving this story. I hope we have lots of unexpected turns and twists in this story, plus a lot of fever, delirium, illness, and, of course, Ranger and Hobbit care and cuddling. SB level h/c!!!! Yay!!!! Lead on!!!!!

Love your practical Frodo who wants to make everything perfect for the guests. I`m wondering though if all the activity is to cover that he`s starting to feel a little bit unwell?

I loved that chapter! Frodo's conversation with Aragorn was just hilarious! And I would have loved to here more about Saradoc being a poor patient :)

A tender and homey chapter. Are they stuck with Aragorn/Estel/Strider/etc . . .? I love Scamp staying with Halbarad. Animals have their ways of knowing and caring. Those fortunate Rangers, getting to rest at a Hobbit home!

Oh, you are going to make me wait for this, aren't you? LOL! A very nice tale for breakfast reading. :D
