And none deserved it more.

Author Reply: I can't agree more.
<3 hobbits <3
How Tolkien wrote how they were praised and how Gondor looked up to the hobbits is oh so heart-warming. :)

A horrible moment for him, I know.

Alas, Frodo--intended for such a thing for so long and now accepting the necessity of it.

Author Reply: It's heartbreaking yet you love him all the more for volunteering himself. So heroic. He is definitely a hero of this story. <3Frodo<3

Amen! They'd get nowhere without their Pippin!

Author Reply: Thank you for your thoughts, Larner~! And yes, Pippin is indeed instrumental to their Fellowship so very much. :)

Yes, a moment of joy and delight and awe as the might of Mordor falls under its own ponderous weight.

Author Reply: I always love that moment portrayed both in the books and movies. :)

Oh, I can certainly see Sam thinking this.

Author Reply: Thank you! i'm glad you find it realistic. :)

Yes, the "what-ifs" do tend to linger.

Author Reply: So many "what-ifs" in Lord of the Rings--takes many fanfic pages to fill. ;) =)

Nice to see Annie Lennox's song playing its part here.

Author Reply: Thank you! Grey Havens scenes are always a source of inspiration for me and "Into the West" is definitely one of my favorite songs. :)

A blessed release for the worry held so long. It was good to see Frodo return again.

Author Reply: Yes, the reunion with Bilbo is indeed long due and it's good to see Frodo back to one of his most beloved cousins.

Awww...Bilbo! :)

Bilbo definitely had to have had regrets for this and I like that despite his feelings you have him have a determination to be strong for Frodo.

Author Reply: It's always hard for Bilbo to accept it, i feel ...but gradually he just has to be strong for his cousin no matter what. ...though much angst can be thought into his times that he stayed at Rivendell...
Thank you for you for your thoughts, mellon nin~ =)

Yes, a moment of revelation as the mortal woman sizes up her former rival.

Author Reply: I'm glad Eowyn found Faramir though... Indeed, Arwen is hard to match up to... (though i really prefer Eowyn-book and movie-verse) =)
