Fields of Gold  by Anso the Hobbit 12 Review(s)

Oooh, what a wonderful beginning! I love Pippin trying to reason things out, but coming up with only concern and confusion.

"If Merry couldn’t eat, he didn’t want to eat either. Feeling his family looking at him, he grasped his fork and tried to swallow down another bite or two, but it didn`t taste right anymore. What was wrong with his Merry?"

Looking forward to more!

Author Reply: Thank you! When soemthing is amiss with his Mer, Pippin always tries to find out what it is and how he can help. Seeing Merry so tired is a competely new situation for him and he doesn`t have any answers to what might be wrong.

very good story so far--i can't wait to read more. =) It's funny how you characterize a suspicious Pippin wondering why Merry would be more tired than usual and not play as much. Seems like he knows more Merry better than the adults. hehe :)

Author Reply: Thank you! Pippin would know his Merry very well, I think. And he has no consept of things being amiss with Merry and not getting any solution to it.
