| Frodo lay fast asleep, lying in one of the tree’s somewhat hollowed-out branches. A book lay on his chest, and one arm dangled limply from the branch. | This chapter is even better than I had anticipated it would be (from your hint int the last chapter that Aragorn would be giving us a description of Pip!). I love the continuity you have given these stories with all the small details such as Frodo always being asleep when Aragorn arrives (your description of him sleeping in the tree with the book draped across him and one arm hanging loosely made me very badly want to draw it! But I still haven't completed the 'Quarantined' drawing I started ages ago! Your stories just have a way of making me want to create!). Aragorn's description of Pip was priceless...he could put him in one of his boots and still have room to spare...and you mentioned his Tookish accent! Heehe! And Scamp certainly seems glad to see Estel again. I can't wait to see what adventures ensue for this decidedly rowdy group of friends! Thank you for another great chapter! By the way, Baby Fwo is enjoying this story as well...now he wants a puppy to go with the kitty! ;-) | |

| There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with too cute. LOTR has the tendency to invite angst and woe (though perhaps not as much as HPdom), so really, a little fluff is welcome! Besides which, I absolutely adore the idea of this miss-matched family finding a little peace before all Hell breaks loose. It's beautiful. Don't ever stop! | |
