I knew it! What a lovely reunion. I can understand why Laerwen was so anxious, but glad that they met at last. It would have been an impossible situation for the twins to be in. How old was Legolas when his mother died, and how did she die? Jay Author Reply: Well guessed! It must be really impossible to meet again someone you haven't seen for hundreds of years. The twins are quite a bit older than Legolas - although, of course, time sort of loses meaning after a few centuries, so they knew her, although not well. Legolas was pretty young, I think. I haven't put an exact age on it but probably eight-ish (human equivalent). You tend to remember some things from that age, but not much and it's rather hazy - more impressions than consecutive memory - at least, that's what I think. As for how she died - I think I'm probably going for orcs, but it hasn't settled into a decision. I haven't got a lot of my background planned in advance, which is probably a mistake - it's kind of developing as I go. | |
