Paths Taken  by daw the minstrel 44 Review(s)

That was a beautiful ending to an exciting and wonderful story. Your word picture of the elflings enjoying the night makes me want to head outdoors and sit in my porch swing long enough to feel the peace that your description evoked. The imagery I find in your stories is one of the things I love the most about your stories. You always transport me right into the locations and action of your stories. Great job as always!

Author Reply: You need Annael's nana to sing for you too, naneth. She would lull you right into a nice relaxing sleep so you could run along the dream path with Legolas. Not a bad idea! I'm feeling kind of sleepy myself.

That ending was so beautifully written. I can just picture the three elflings lying there looking up at the night sky. Thranduil is one intelligent adar. He knows the exact balance between rewards and punishments. At least he does with Legolas anyway.

Poor lovesick Ithilden. If he only knows what the rest of us know already, that Alfirin will be his wife. But I think this uncertainty and jealousy is good for the control freak in him. Wakes him up a bit.

Thank you for another wonderful story and please keep on writing!

Author Reply: Thank you, Manderly. Thranduil does all right with Legolas when he has the time. The adult Legolas we see in LOTR is a sign of how very much "all right" he does.

Ithilden is still on the clueless side, but he was doing so well! And then he got jealous and stupid and walked away. Men!

Awww...What a sweet ending! It's so good of Ada to let Legolas sleep in the flet finally. Still posting a guard, but letting him. Now, anymore projects up ahead soon? I'd like to see some Thranduil/Lorellin, and I've read Nilmandra's stories from your universe. Well anyhoo, YAY! Ithilden and Alfirin are falling more and more in love. It's great. Loved this story, and can't wait until the next one comes up!

Author Reply: Thank you, Nessie. I'm thinking about doing the Battle of 5 Armies next. Lots going on there. It would be complicated. :-)
