Nonsense and Less Sense  by Lindorien 12 Review(s)
Maeglin the TraitorReviewed Chapter: 2 on 3/12/2004
*A sharp thrust in the small of his back by the Dottir sends Maeglin careening into the dusty Archives of Gondor. He looks around in fastidious disgust. Do mortals never clean? No matter. He glares at the Dottir.*

"It is verse, Dottir! I do not review verse unless it is Maglor's. I have my standards."

*The Dottir hisses at him through her clenched pearly teeth.* "You hang around with Curufin and you dare to talk about having standards? We are in the neighborhood, sit and review."

*Wondering why they are in the neighborhood, Maeglin sits and reads. He smiles, never a good sign. He laughs, usually a precursor to mayhem. He contemplates giving this to Curufin. No, Curufin is definitely too much of a goy.*

Maeglin the Traitor

Hsst, Lindorien! Rhyme at me another time and I WILL give this to the goy.

Author Reply: Oi! Goy! No rhyme this time. I promise. So you like? Then take a hike to the other two I posted, though they are not strictly funny. Now then, should I post up translations?

And thank you for reading! I'm working my way backwards. I read the Numenoreans. Can Elves be far behind?

Orophins DottirReviewed Chapter: 2 on 3/12/2004
The Scribe's face sinks into her hands as she sits wearily in her liege lord's study. She just thought she was done with the last of the cask inventories and could trot off to bed. Her vacation begins at First Light on the morrow. (She muses for a moment why everything in Middle-earth seems to begin at First Light. Do these Free Folk have no night life?)

Now! Now, this verkakkte messenger has brought her this new story of Lindorien's to review! With a sigh, the Scribe takes up her task.

She reads. She chortles. She guffaws. She is suddenly glad that she lived 17 years in Manhattan and can understand all the Yiddish.

Nu, Lindorien, what do you do for an encore?

Humble Scribe to his Majesty Thranduil

Author Reply: The Scribe of Gondor must confess having fun with all of this. She further wants you to know she stuck a couple more up, based on 'The Jumblies' and 'The Owl and the Pussycat'. However, she warns you that the other two are not pure romps. You know she has that wierd way of mixing her meanings.

Should I do translations at the bottom like they do for Quenya and Sindarin and whatnot? I mean not everybody knows from.
