Nonsense and Less Sense  by Lindorien

The nonsense verse of Moishe Schmear
The little known cousin of Edward Lear
The cousin who never did leave the Old Country
But stayed in Crown Heights and there plied his poetry.

His star never shone as Edward’s could
Mostly because he wasn’t too good
Presented here humbly are his better known works
They betray hidden genius as well as his quirks.

For those of you only acquainted with Quidditch
Now is a good time to brush up on your Yiddish.
The translations are at the end of each poem.
Soon you’ll be talking like true landsmen.

Mazol Tov to Sphinx! This collection is humbly dedicated.
