| Well, I guess I really had under-estimated Sam. I should have had more faith in his one-track mind, when it comes to his master. I was yelling at him and Frodo to not believe what they were seeing or hearing. Good thing it's just me and the muts here right now, otherwise I have had a lot explaining to do. Now you've gone and put my second-favorite character in trouble. I'm assuming that Saruman didn't take Merry's memories, just sifted them: so everything's still there, just scrambled. I hope I'm reading that right. Oh man, if not, then he's really in a lot of trouble. And if there's been any damage done to Merry, then Pippin's gonna be really mad at that crazy wizard, too. Sam and Pippin agains Saruman-that wizard don't stand a chance.:) Can't wait for more. Connie. | |

| Aha! Gandalf is going to use his ring for Merry! Maybe? But first Frodo has to tell him about Sauruman's ring! Whoa, that is a scary thought, that Merry's mind might be ruined...:o Of course, I know you would never do that...;) Go Sam! It was too bad that he couldn't have resisted Sauruman though. I have a suspicion though, that if Sauruman had continued to try and win him by flattery, he would have resisted! Sam is too humble to believe flattery for long. Remember that he even resisted the flattery and promises of the One Ring itself, there at Cirith Ungol!:) Just my thoughts! Thanks for another great chapter! I am really enjoying your story! | Yeah!!! An update--very prompt, and much better than I in that area (and most others). I loved that Frodo knew the difference from Gandalf and Saruman--that was both original and interesting. The end was cute and the hold chapter thoroughly exceptional!!!! | |

| Here I have just reviewed ch5 (extremely late though) and said I canīt wait for more and then there suddenly is a new chapter! My wish came true. :) Yay for Gandalf and Sam! When Sam burst against Saruman I thought Merry had woken up at first. But Sam is just amazing and brave. Good hobbit. Iīm worried about my Merry and Frodo though. Whan *has* Sarumans actions done to Merry? I bet that Saruman has some more tricks lurking somewhere... | |
