uh oh! if you've sent Sam after Frodo, well there's no chance left for Saruman! Sam the Ninja Hobbit to the rescue! *invisions Sam chopping Saruman to bits*
I'm glad you've taken care of Pippin, I was rather worried for him!
excelent job as always, keep up the great work!

Huzzah, Sam to the rescue

Poor Pippin, at least he's got kind old Celeborn looking after him

Ooh, things are progressing nicely! That was so nice of Celeborn to talk to Pippin. He(Celeborn) usually gets left out of a lot of stories. I never knew he could sing!:) Of course, all elves can, but I never thought of the High and mighty Elven Lord singing...:)Very nice touch!
That was very clever how Sam managed to get Gandalf to tell him where Frodo was! So clever in fact, that I didn't notice what he was doing myself until Gandalf noticed he was missing!:D
Whew, Elladan is safe for now. Go Galadriel!:) Hmm, now you have me wondering just what Elrond and Gandalf's rings will be needed for....:)
All in all, another great chapter!:) Please don't take too long on the next one!
Namarië,

Oh, bless your heart and thank you for letting me know how my beloved Pippin is doing. The scenes with Celeborn were wonderful. Elves always seem so above everyone else that I have a hard time imagining them interacting with ordinary folk, so seeing him talking to Pippin in such an understanding way was reassuring. It is also really great to see people being respectful toward Pippin. He always seems to be under estimated by everyone, except his fans of course.

Leave it to Sam. He just has to be the one to be reactionary. He always seems to think that he's the only one who can help Frodo. Sometimes I think it's only the divine will of the Valar that keeps him from getting himself, and Frodo, killed. Don't get me wrong, I like Sam just fine, but I just wish he'd let others help sometimes.

Thanks.

Connie.

Of course Sam couldn't stay...he had to find his master!

Btw, Gayalondiel and I were just talking on AIM and we think your next story should be about Gandalf being Galadriel and Celeborn's patient when the Eagles brought him to them! That would be so hilarious to read! *wink* So, will you think about it?

The conversation between Pippin and Celeborn was perfect. A tiny insight into the lives of the two great elves. The idea of four brothers hovering protectively around their sister is so sweet.

And that is just such a typical Sam . . . to not be able to wait before going after his master.

He finished mixing the tonic and slid his arm beneath Pippin’s shoulders, gently lifting the hobbit a bit so he could drink. Pippin found the warm liquid to be surprisingly sweet tasting, and drank it slowly.

Shirebound, you are REALLY exploring new territory in this story! Medicince that doesn't taste bad? Are you sure? I thought that bad-tasting medicine was absolutely required in order to wring the last little bit of angst from a situation before the comfort could begin! Although, now that I think about it, you DID have those nice fruit smoothies for Merry and Pippin in BCOP. But you didn't make one for Frodo, I notice . . .

I just love your stories and I just LOVE this one! You have the magic touch . . . one word from "your" Sam as he shows his closeness and concern for Frodo means so much more to me than tons of spongebaths from other writers, and I don't know exactly why, but there is just a sense of real love and real action there that hardly any other writer can get across. Also, you really are covering new ground here with this particular setting and this particular group. So creative! So dramatic! And my darling Frodo is so brave and suffering so much! Keep that cough and fever going! Bows to you and blue ribbons for awesome writing! Wonderful!

And another evil cliffie. Don't ever say that you don't plan to write cliffhangers. Your nose will grow. How on earth do you expect me to concentrate on my own writing when you end a chapter with my beloved Sam going after my beloved Frodo and I can't follow?

Please update soon, soon . . . thanks, thanks, thanks.

Delightful update! I know many writers who fancy hobbits tend to write stories making fun of the elves. So, this is a rare treat in that we get to see some wonderful interaction between the hobbits and elves, as well as hobbit angst.

I adored the interaction between Celeborn and Pippin -- I bet no one has asked him about courting Galadriel in many millenia .

And poor Sam, Gandalf is not happy!! Thanks for posting this addition.
