All for Her   by SoundofHorns 23 Review(s)

Yah!! Way to go Faramir!!! Oh I'm so pleased you got that bit done. Now they boys can start bonding. Wouldn't it shock Eowyn to all ends to see her husband to be and her brother the best buds?!

I liked how you had Eowyn singing that harvest song. Is that a hint perhaps for a future event? I keep hoping.

Look after your fingers!
LOTW

Author Reply: Hmm, imagine: Eomer and Faramir as friends. Real buddies.

Poor, poor Eowyn. They'll gang up on her and tease her until she uses her scolding voice on Faramir. LOL, that'll make him behave or no nookie. ;) And then, Eomer can make fun of him for being whipped. Ah, it's going to be good times. :D

Oh, I've got the harvest song...took 2 hours to simultaneously compose and translate and I'll dare say it was worth it. Very good.

I can't pamper my fingers yet...I've got to finish a 4 page book review. Sigh.

FINALLY! Faramir unleashes his inner dragon and verbally cuts a waffling Eomer to shreds. It's about time. And finally, I think, both men can relax and learn to appreciate each other.

I enjoyed Ranger Faramir teaching the kids - I wonder if any of them will eventually join Gaer in Ithilien, if Gaer really does become a Ranger...That would be cool.

More adventures of Rusco The Puppy! Arwen really is clueless; there's no need to tote the puppy around anywhere, unless he were sick. Instead of bothering with a fussy collar that he'll outgrow quite soon where a sturdy leather collar would work well (she can get him a jewel-studded one when he's mature), she should be teaching Rusco to come when called, and sitting, staying, all that stuff that he'll need if he's going to be a house pet in Minas Tirith as well as, possibly, a hunting dog. And what about housebreaking the critter? (I see by your links that Rusco is modelled on a Hamiltonstovare - very good choice of breed,as I thought the pup would be of foxhound ancestry)

Speaking of puppies and dogs; if the hounds of Rohan are flea-bitten, as Eowyn mentioned, and at least some of them spend time in Meduseld, as I believe you implied, then I would think that the Golden Hall would be thoroughly flea-infested by now; unless there's some herbal remedy that actually works (in my personal vision of LOTR; Middle-earth does have herbs that repel and kill such pests) along with most of its residents - ouch.

Can't wait to see what Arwen plans to do to Eowyn's hair...

Author Reply: Hee! Yeah, Faramir went at it. Finally indeed, you haven't had cutesy Eomer/Faramir/Eowyn scenes at the harvest festival pounding at you for weeks!! ;)

Arwen's spoiling that dog. Heh, let her. I think after giving up her eternal life she can spoil a puppy or two. The Queen could probably grab up a new collar every time he pops out of the old so I don't think that's an issue to her. Oh, LOL, this pup's going to get some obedience training when they take him home and he's playing in the pool around the White Tree. LOL, that's not proper behavior. Hamiltonstovare's are cute. Just cute and they're very similar in look to the fox hound but I wanted a stockier dog since the Rohirrim are a stocky people. Also, I want one. :)

Well, certain herbs keep bugs away--hence Éowyn renewing the straw on the floors. I can't remember them at the moment but I assure you I do research this stuff and try to make it somewhat realistic. All of Faramir's "wood craft" is real! I have spent forever, I'll tell you, on that stuff.

I don't know about the kids but Ranger Gaer is going to be awesome. Of course he's going to be awesome the entire time and especially when Faramir's little enemy tries to mess with him again. Sigh, my fingers are going to fall off.

Ah, the hair comes in next chapter. Hee.

:::cheering wildly:::

Way to go, Faramir!

Whew. Gotta sit back down before the little ones notice and ask what's going on. (Mama, isn't it quiet time? How come you're not being quiet?)

I'm glad he ummm... er... cleared the air.

Author Reply: Oh YAY! You liked it, too. I thought it was bordering on too strong, I mean, Eomer was about to cry. But he did deserve this little wake-up call. LOL, shh, go back to quiet time. I hear that's good.

Yep, air is all cleared up now. *cracks knuckles over keyboard* Righty-o, we can get started! :D
