History Lessons: The Second Age  by Nilmandra 12 Review(s)

Sorry to hear you've had the flu...I've heard it is quite a nasty bug this year! Well, it didn't seem to keep you from writing another wonderful chapter. I love this story. Really, the interactions between the characters is so charming. You've made it so very clear how much they all care for each other. Even Erestor, who doesn't get much of a part in other stories, has been fleshed out nicely here. Mostly though, I love how Glorfindel, Elladan, and Elrond are taking care of Elrohir and Arwen. Very sweet and loving. Great chapter!

Author Reply: I am embarrassed to admit most of the chapter was written before I got the flu - its taken me forever to finish it :P I think elves valued family greatly, and I think it would show especially at times like these when comfort is needed. Glad you liked it.

Poor Erestor! I suspect he will have to count to 20 a few more times yet on this journey. He will have to figure out some way to make Elrond pay.

I loved the family dynamics in this chapter. The grown up twins still wnat to please their father, and Arwen is a believably fussy little girl. And a naked Glorfindel is always a good thing. I love the idea that he can make little ribbon flowers. And I dare anyone to make fun of him for doing it!

Author Reply: Hehe - I don't think anyone would dare make fun of the Golden One, at least not to his face! He has that big sword that he handles even more skillfully than that needle.
