Drabbles, Vignettes and Such  by Gandalfs apprentice 159 Review(s)
DarkoverReviewed Chapter: 39 on 2/2/2011
Dear G.A.: These were very enjoyable to read! I believe "Plain Hobbit Sense" and "At the Pig and Thistle" were my favorites. It is good to read fics written by someone who understands Aragorn. Thank you for writing and posting these. Sincerely, Darkover

Heh! Poor, poor Gandalf. Oh, I doubt he has that much problem avoiding wine, women, and song; but avoiding bugs and viruses--that's a worse problem! Ah, our favorite Istar!

Author Reply: Are you quite sure he had no problem avoiding such temptations?

Thanks for reading!

Oh, the beginning of that fateful day when Arwen finally appreciated just how desirable this, her father's youngest and last fosterling from among his brother's descendants. How wonderful!

Author Reply: Personally, I think she started appreciating that much sooner, and didn't really need the fancy suit to figure it out. LOL

Thanks for reviewing!

Eeewwww ...

Author Reply: Kinda underlines the Maiar sacrifice, doesn't it?

Ha! Yes, I can imagine hairy bodies would look a bit off to an Elf! Good thing he got used to it.

In case you're wondering, yes, I'm enjoying your stories.

Yes, I can imagine Gimli wouldn't want to be reminded, wouldn't he?

Again, very well done!

Author Reply: Personally, I find Elves a little hard to take sometimes, and I can't but think Gimli felt the same way.

Oh, this one was perfect! I laughed my way through it, easily envisioning a cringing Gandalf, pissed-off Elrond, and irritated Manwe. "At least he got rid of Sauron" - very funny!

"You don't know what it's like to be eleven" - I recently heard the same thing from my daughter, only the age was "thirteen." I wish I'd responded in the same way Aragorn did!

Author Reply: I can remember feeling like that! It seemed like I would never grow up, and the adults had never been children. How time flies....

Also a winner! Brief, restrained, and so, so sexy!

Author Reply: Thanks! I like my sex writing with a lot of innuendo.

I've been ploughing through your ficlets, and I just had to stop at this one to let you know how much I'm enjoying them! They're very well-written, and you manage to convey a lot of thought and emotion in few words. That takes both talent and reticence. Bravo!

Author Reply: Thanks! The relationship between Bilbo and Aragorn is one I really enjoy exploring.
