Ah, Peregrin. Fool of a Took, what have you done this time? Here you lie, quiet at last, and I find myself wishing for the sound of your voice asking endless silly questions.

Against all hope, we have prevailed. The Ring is destroyed, Sauron is no more, and Aragorn is King. Yet if Middle-earth is to be deprived of your bright spirit, your mischief, your curiosity, then it seems but a hollow victory.

Frodo is alive. You would not wish him, after all he has endured, to wake to the news of your passing, would you?
