When Frodo catches me staring, I confess that I was trying to decide what is different about him.

Frodo raises an eyebrow. "You mean, aside from being half my normal weight and so covered with scars that I look like a map?"

Sighing, I shake my head and drop the subject. But later, when he is asleep, I steal to his bedside. I may be seeing things, but some of the glow seems to be coming not from the moon, but from him. I take his maimed hand in mine. Can it be that the light I have always seen in him is now visible to all?

I hope so.
