Before the promises, we hated The Baggins. Now The Baggins is Master. He is also Master to the nasty hobbit, the one who glares at us when Master isn't looking. Nasty hobbit wishes we was gone far away, but nice Master speaks kindly. He knows he needs our help in cold hard lands.

Sometimes when Master is feeling the Precious, he looks at us and doesn't see us. But sometimes he looks at us and smiles, and we see a light like the White Face. The light burns us, but we wants it, wants to be near it. Ach, sss, gollum!
