Andrea · 20 March 2016 · Chapter 6: Comfort in Music

Wow, this is beautiful! And I really like the quote from Leonard Bernstein.

Author's reply

Oh, thank you so. And for the quote, thank the moderators of the B2MEM in 2009. I thought it very apt, also.

Periantari · 19 March 2016 · Chapter 11: It is to Laugh

That is a clever scene to write about. Would never think of that.

Author's reply

Thanks. It was hard to think how I should approach the subject this second time.

Periantari · 19 March 2016 · Chapter 10: "There's No Place like Home"

aww that's sweet! I liked this a lot. :) Very cute moment.

Author's reply

The size and luxury of the rooms in Annuminas must have been overwhelming for Elanor, or so I'd think. But trust her dad to put her thinking aright.

Antane · 18 March 2016 · Chapter 8: Her Precious Lad

Precious indeed. I hadn't thought of his possible backstory before. We know so little of it. Wish he could have remained as you have him but it was all meant to or allowed to happen as it did. Alas for Smeagol. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

His choices brought him to an evil life, but in the end Eru managed to bring great good out of that evil, using evil actions to subdue worse evil, perhaps allowing Smeagol to emerge out of Gollum once more.

Antane · 17 March 2016 · Chapter 7: Hearing the Tree's Call for Help

Always grateful to hear of Isildur's brave act. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

We need to remember this willingness to serve his people as he did, knowing it could cost him his life.

Antane · 16 March 2016 · Chapter 6: Comfort in Music

Always a comfort to visit in dreams where we can no longer in the waking world. Great to have him travel once more in beloved lands. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

He does need reassurance now and then that his own sacrifices were well made, after all! Thanks so, Antane!

Antane · 15 March 2016 · Chapter 5: Foresworn

He fell, then rose, and died a grace-filled death, even if he thought he failed, he did not. I am glad he died with a smile on his face, even amid such agony. A lot of power in a few words here. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Yes, he redeemed himself beyond his expectations. Thanks so, Antane.

Tari · 15 March 2016 · Chapter 5: Foresworn

Well said.

Author's reply

Thank you so!

Lindelea · 14 March 2016 · Chapter 5: Foresworn

Oh, yes! This is exactly what I'd imagine Boromir was thinking. He was, after all, a noble and honorable Man. Hope you and yours are doing well. It was so good to see you and the new little one.

Author's reply

Other than not having proper telephone service due to the heavy rains and winds getting into the junction box, we're doing okay so far. Melian is so much her own dog, I'm learning. She is a dear, but far more sensitive than Pandora was, I find. Love to your Panda, the hubby, and the girls.

Antane · 8 March 2016 · Chapter 2: Time to Think

How little things have changed - the British guards still stand so still and silent at their posts - Pippin would like these and definitely relate to them. :) I like his spin on things. And we have our own standing guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - I have such respect for these guys. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

I know. Have stood by the Guards at Buckingham Palace and thought on Milne's poem about Christopher Robin going down with Alice! Those on guard have little thanks too often for the service they render.

Lindelea · 7 March 2016 · Chapter 2: Time to Think

Love this! Absolutely loved to see Pippin and Diamond in this scene... I think the Fourth Age is my favourite time to visit.

Author's reply

Ah, but I thought of you as I wrote it. So glad it gave you a smile, Lindelea. Brendi and Melian send tail wags, and now that Callie-Cat has realized that Melian is the same age as she the two of them race after one another interminably!

Lindelea · 7 March 2016 · Chapter 3: A Story Begun

Ah, I hope so, and look forward to meeting the little one.

Author's reply

She is a charmer, isn't she? And I do find myself certain that Elanor loved dogs. Love to your Panda.

Lindelea · 7 March 2016 · Chapter 4: High-minded

As he did restore his nation's honour... Nicely done.

Author's reply

Oh, that he did indeed. A wonderful person, Faramir, and worthy of the love all held for him! Thanks so!

Andrea · 6 March 2016 · Chapter 3: A Story Begun

These little stories are all very nice, but I chose this one to comment to wish you all the best with your new dog :-) Dogs make Bilbo sneeze? What a pity!

Author's reply

Melian is now with us. She is about seven months old, and about a half an inch taller at the shoulder than Brendi, who is ecstatic to have a companion again. Thanks so! Author Reply: Oh, and in my-verse it is Saradoc who was allergic to dogs, as one can see in "Second Mum." Thanks so, Andrea!

Antane · 5 March 2016 · Chapter 4: High-minded

I love these little glimpses of the brothers. Le hannon! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Am so glad you do, Antane. Thank you so!

UTfrog · 4 March 2016 · Chapter 3: A Story Begun

Sweet story. Do let us know all about your new dog, please.

Author's reply

Thanks. Will be going to see a breeder Tuesday to put a deposit on a little girl as a companion and hopefully future mate for my Brendi boy. Will let people know more when I know more, of course. Thanks, UTfrog!

Soledad · 3 March 2016 · Chapter 1: Begetting Fire

A lot of pain and grief Elvenkind would have spared could they have gone to the movies that night. *nodnod* Joke aside, I think the obsessive traits Fëanor displayed had already been present in Finwë, he just hid them better.

Author's reply

I do believe you are right, Soledad. Thanks so! (Next chapter, please? Heh! I want to see how Balin installed himself as Lord of Khazad-dum once more!)

Antane · 2 March 2016 · Chapter 1: Begetting Fire

Alas for Feanor's mum and for them all. And they had no idea as no new parent does. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

No, no idea at all. Experience can be such a teacher! Thanks so, Antane.

Kaylee Arafinwiel · 1 March 2016 · Chapter 1: Begetting Fire

Oh, a series! I will be keeping an eye on this. :) This drabble was quite shiver worthy! But I enjoyed it (on both LJ and here!) Thanks so for sharing! Kaylee

Author's reply

Yup. Did these prompts as a series back then and now again as a series, but with different responses this time.
