I have very much enjoyed reading this story and plan to read more of your writings. I really need to now what is in store for Legolas next.
Author's reply
Thank you! I do hope you enjoy the others as well! I don't always have a lot of time to get online so I get behind replying. Please forgive me for taking so long! But I'm always writing and you just never know what might turn up. :) Thanks for all your comments!
Tari · 27 May 2015 · Chapter 30
I will enjoy seeing the future progress also. I always wished Legolas had someone female being special in his life.
Author's reply
I've always wished that as well (And NOT TAURIEL! ;P) I'm pretty sure I'll get around to writing him falling in love one of these days... :) thanks for reading!
Tari · 22 May 2015 · Chapter 27
I really hate to see this story end. I love it.
Author's reply
I hated it to end as well, but then there's always more to write! :) Thanks so much for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed the journey
Tari · 22 May 2015 · Chapter 25
This was wonderful. I thought Raini was a Maia at first. I love this explanation better although I feel a bit sorry for her having to roam Middle-Earth all by herself. That sounds very lonely. (I have read the Sil twice so far.)
Author's reply
Thank you! Raini didn't tell me who she was for a long time. But I have a feeling she won't stay in M-e after Legolas sails. :) Thanks for reading and commenting!
Tari · 20 May 2015 · Chapter 23
Way to go Legolas!!! There is much evil in all of creation and no one group of beings is exempt from it. Senseless greed destroyed several lives, but thankfully the elves survived.
Author's reply
Indeed! Thanks for reading!
Tari · 20 May 2015 · Chapter 22
I am still reading and will continue to do so. Legolas is my hero.
Author's reply
Glad you are enjoying it!

Tari · 4 May 2015 · Chapter 3
I am captivated by this story and glad I found it. I have been a bit lost since Fiondil's passing and the fact that no one seems to be posting new stories.
Author's reply
So happy you are enjoying the tale!!
Tari · 29 April 2015 · Chapter 1
I came across this story as I fumbled thru SOA looking for something to read. No one is posting much anymore and we have lost Fiondil. I always look forward to new chapters being posted. This story has grasped my interest and I will probably read more of your writings.
Author's reply
Thank you! Sorry I have not tried sooner. I have been offline a few weeks. But I'm glad you are enjoying the story! :)
Larner · 24 March 2015 · Chapter 9999
Ah, but a lighthearted Legolas who is late for such a meeting is not what Aragorn wished for that day, I suspect. Although he and the Queen have some pleasure and joy of their own to share, it appears. So glad all turned out so well. (And had to giggle about the "coming attractions" notice! Heh!
Author's reply
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading!
Larner · 24 March 2015 · Chapter 33
To realize that discontent with Middle Earth when the West calls him does not stop him knowing joy is a great gift indeed, and it took two determined ladies to get that fact through to him! Heh! About bloody time that got through his thick head--you'd think he was a Dwarf for his stubbornness on the subject!
Author's reply
It was indeed time he figured it out with some good help. :) Thanks for reading!
curiouswombat · 20 March 2015 · Chapter 9999
A very fitting ending, with Legolas back to himself again. I do hope Arwen is right about Caeri and Legolas, she seems to be a good match for him!
Author's reply
Thank you! I have always trusted Arwen to be a pretty good judge of such matters. :) Thanks for reading.
Sunny · 20 March 2015 · Chapter 9999
I see that Legolas is a sneaky son of a beech, managing to get out of a long and boring meeting with the help of his horses. And also managing to catch Aragorn sufficiently unaware to be able to give him a nice dousing. (Sorry about the pun - it sneaked up on me and i WAS NOT ABLE to resist it!) ;-)
Author's reply
LOL! That's a great pun! :) Thanks so much for reading. :)
Sunny · 15 March 2015 · Chapter 33
Oe would thenk that an Elf, who count time in yeni rather tha coranari would tolerate pausing his journey to the sea for a century or so. But then, there is that other thing he is waiting for, which determines how long the pause in the journey is going to be. He is waiting for his friend to do that most unnatural (to Elves) thing: to die. And not in the Elvish "spend a few yeni as a guest of Námo before you are reembodied" way either, but in the Mannish "not coming back" way. I suppose that is always in Legolas' subconscious, and is what really complicates his bouts of sea-longing. At least his friends have been able to get through to him now!
Author's reply
Ah, but Legolas has spent much time among mortals! I think such influence could affect the way an elf experiences the passing of time, especially one with such close friendships and an understanding of just how quickly his time with them will pass. There is also the issue that in my 'verse', the sea longing is a more active internal struggle. Once awakened, it is difficult to ignore. It is not just a pausing of the journey, but a daily endurance of it calling to him. That would also slow the passing of time for an elf. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! :)
eliza · 11 March 2015 · Chapter 32
OMG!! you did not just leave it like that!! Excellent, excellent chapter. Good for Aragorn and Gimili, I would not let a love one fade without a fight either. great writing Nieriel, you really expressed the tension. Now I wonder what Aragorn has up his sleeve. post soon
Author's reply
Sorry! It was a great place to leave it though! :) glad you are enjoying the story! I just posted the new chapter. Thanks for reading!
Larner · 11 March 2015 · Chapter 32
I was thinking precisely the same as Gimli! Maybe Lancaeriel will be able to get through his denial.
Author's reply
I'm certain someone will get through to him. ;) Thanks for reading!
Larner · 7 March 2015 · Chapter 31
Well, if Legolas is interested in here merely as a friend, it appears Tathar intends to actually woo her! Nicely done!
Author's reply
Thank you! And yeah, Tathar has it bad. LOL!
Sunny · 4 March 2015 · Chapter 31
It seems like there'snothng like being poked by a Dwarf to bring an Elf out of her shell. ;-) I do like your Gimli!
Author's reply
Thank you! I like him too. I hope that doesn't come across as conceited, because he just kind of writes himself. :)
Larner · 28 February 2015 · Chapter 30
I rejoice that they have made peace with themselves as well as one another. I think she will be an asset in Ithilien.
Author's reply
I think she will too. :) Thanks for reading!
curiouswombat · 26 February 2015 · Chapter 29
That is such a powerful description of Legolas' sea-longing that I almost found myself gasping for breath, too.
Author's reply
Thank you! I was worried it was a bit wordy and over the top dramatic, but the feedback I'm getting is pretty good, so thank you for letting me know! :)
eliza61 · 26 February 2015 · Chapter 29
what a beautiful chapter Nieriel, a special reminder of the blessing of friendship. especially poignant witnessing poor Aragorn's feelings.
Author's reply
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
