At least Aragorn and Gimli have a guide, even if the latter cannot see her. And Caeri is giving way to good sense at last.
Author's reply
Caeri has allowed darkness to rule her too long. But there's hope for her. Thanks for reading!

Each Elven people would most likely develop its own customs and patois. Jasper sounds a more ominous individual each time we hear of him. I suspect he will find the King Returned something he'd not thought to meet, however.
Author's reply
Yes, I feel the same about the elves. And Jasper gives me the jitters! Thanks for reading!

With numbers so against him I'm not surprised he has managed to be taken. Now, for Aragorn and Gimli to find and free him and Caeli, and to see the other Men brought to justice!
Author's reply
Oh if only it were that simple. Aragorn and Gimli are still far away, I fear. I hope they make it in time! ;)

One apparently needs the blood of Elves in one's veins to have a vision of Rani, then.
Author's reply
Huh. I haven't thought of it that way before, but possibly. ;) Thanks for reading!

A good name for Legolas's current steed. Now, for Legolas to see to Caeli's freedom, and for them to find and back up Legolas, hopefully without the loss of life of the two younger Men in the pack.
Author's reply
Yeah, those two younger boys should have stayed home. I fear the older men are nothing but trouble!

Good memories to have. And Legolas is not the only one who has shown wisdom--he has helped inspire that of Aragorn and Gimli as well.

Caeri is too stubborn for her own good, that's clear.
Author's reply
She is that! But she's also isolated herself and uncertain how to move past where she is emotionally. I hope she finds some healing and direction in this story, as well as a group of good friends to help her along the way.
(For the record, this story is NOT a romance!)

Love the girls' names. Eldarion is doing well. I, too, see him as beardless, reflecting the Elven heritage from his mother's side. Love Arwen's support of Aragorn's decision to go without guards. No, I don't think I'd wish to stand against her wishes, either. Aragorn married most properly for what he needed as a helpmeet.
Author's reply
I have enjoyed just the little bit of delving I've done into Eldarion's character. He is a good mix of Arwen and Aragorn with a good head on his shoulders.
I pity the one who ever stands up to Undómiel!

I suspect Torel would be better off going home as well. But Brigus has committed himself, of course.
Author's reply
Yes, poor Torel is caught up in things over his head. And dragged poor Prem in with him. I worry for those two young men.

I, too, have him at times leaving rule in the hands of his very competent Queen and Steward when friendship temporarily draws his first allegiance. How wise that he cannot serve his people properly when his friends are in need of him.
Author's reply
Yeah, I just can't see him being content with just his kingly duties in Gondor.

I hope in time she will meet Legolas and find a friend in him. I have suspicions about Rani.

I think everybody has suspicions of Rani. I certainly did when writing her! She's kind of creepy in that cute she's going to kill somebody way...
;)

It is interesting to see Thranduil decide to sail west now, as most imagine him lingering in Middle Earth to see Eryn Lasgalen settle now that Sauron's last folk are gone from its borders. But it is reasonable that this would happen as you indicate.
I am glad he spent that last year with his father.
Author's reply
I had always thought Thranduil would stick around too, then he went and pulled this on me! LOL He likes to keep me guessing.

Oooh, you're back and with a new one! I always love your stories even though I lurk most of the time. This new one looks great! Poor Legolas, it can't have been easy watching people sail while he remained in Middle Earth for Aragorn and Arwen. However it just proves what my mother always told me, you can never go back, not even to the places you had the happiest times, they are never the same. Onwards and upwards always!
Author's reply
Actually, this is an old one! ;) I posted it very early in my fanfic days, but it was my weakest story, with a horribly confusing timeline. I've completely rewritten it and I think it's decent now. :) Thanks For reading and reviewing! Love to hear from my readers. :)

Hi Nieriel RAINA. I REALLY LIKE YOUR FIRST CHAPTER. Can't wait for your next chapter. Can't believe that I have missed your other stories. I'm off to check them out. A glass or two of white, from our Swan River region, from Western Australia will make it even better. I am suppose to writing a training report. This is much better way to spend a Sunday night. Love Galathil
Author's reply
Hi! So glad you liked the prologue! I posted the next chapter. I've been revamping my stories over the past couple years so I've not had anything posted here, but I'm starting to add them back. So glad you enjoy them! :)

I get the feel that legolas feels as I read . It is when you realize that an era of joy and importance is over in your life and you know that you must move on for good and bad. That aching bittersweet feeling when you have to let go.Like when you loose someone dear or seeing a place you hold dear getting abandoned like Legolas. Or like myself when I recently passed through the beautyful little village where I spent many summerholidays as a child and teen.It was there that my most beloved cousins used to live and now I reluctantly realize that not many people live there anymore. They have closed down the big sawmill, the stores and the beach where we played is overgrown with weeds...sigh. At least the neighbouring village has some renaissance with a popular Icecream café that every biker and driver visits on their way.:) Well I will stop boring you and many compliments to a great chapter which caught my attention and I will follow this story indeed!
Author's reply
Thank you! I'm so glad you can feel the emotion of this moment! That's a great compliment. :)
