luinthien · 3 November 2003 · Chapter 21: Warm Tea, Cold Hearts

Another great chapter! I love the tenderness and the closeness of the twins and Elrond. The twins are so concerned about him after all he has been through. And the touch about the tea, that was cute. I sure hope you are done torturing our two heroes, I think they deserve a break for a while don't you??? Keep up the great work and update soon!!!

Author's reply

I thought drugging Elrond's tea would be funny! But I somehow I don't think he would appreciate it. *eg* And neither would the twins. Me? Done torturing our heroes? Hmm... let me ponder on that for a bit... nope, not done yet but I'll give them a short break. *g*

Lady Jaina · 3 November 2003 · Chapter 21: Warm Tea, Cold Hearts

“The suspense is killing me!” (As one of the twins said) Great job! I loved Elrond's weariness and the speculation as to what might have happened!

Author's reply

Hehehe. My apologies for the suspense but.... but... there's no suspense in this chapter! LOL! Hold on to your hat, November 10 is approaching soon...

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 21: Warm Tea, Cold Hearts

I was beginning to wonder if you had forgotten about that box. I shouldn't have doubted you. When I read the last chapter about Aragorn's nightmare, my mind flew back to the box and the mysterious It inside. Could It have been responsible for Aragorn's nightmare?? LKK *putting on her detective hat again*

Author's reply

Wow! A whole series of reviews! Thanks for taking time from your busy schedule to review! *gives you a big squishing hug* You didn't even give me enough time to reply to all of them. LOL!! Ahh yes the box... What's in the blasted box?!? Is it significant or did I put it in just for fun? You'll find out later. I'm not saying a thing until then *eg* Get your detective hat into gear. Lots of thinking to do. :D

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 20: Inner Fear

I wonder what was in the dream that tormented Aragorn so? .... *ponders a moment* .... more importantly, what caused the "explosion" in his head!!! You've got me very hooked, Estelle. Very hooked indeed. LKK

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 19: The Fight for Survival

Legolas drowning in his own blood! Thank the Valar Elrond is there to help him. LKK *sending healing thoughts to help Elrond's task*

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 18: The Beginning of the End

*sighs in relief* They're found. *rereads author's note about the upcoming gruesome chapter* Uh-oh. I'm glad that you've brought the family back together, Estelle. I hope you don't go tearing them apart again! LKK

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 17: Unbreakable Bond

Let's hope that curtain of water doesn't hide the two still figures too well! Elrond and the twins need to arrive soon. There isn't much time left for our heroes. :-( LKK

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 16: Cast Away

Ai, the pain of their injuries! It's nearly palpable in your writing, Estelle. A well-written chapter showing the two struggling beyond hope into desperation. LKK

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 15: The Aftermath

Word of warning: Never mess with a healer! They know what parts of the body to hurt. And they might not heal you later, should you require their help. LOL Way to go, Deyron! *borrows Elrond's gift of foresight* I see an arduous journey ahead for our heroes, injured and alone in the wilds. Not good. Not good at all. :-( LKK

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 14: Revelations

I'm glad that our heroes have been cleared. But I must admit, I thought that the Chief's sons accepted the proof of their innocence a little too quickly. I expected them to resist, thinking that it might have been fabricated just to clear Aragorn and Legolas. I'm glad that the sons still felt angry towards our heroes though because the sons' strong emotions wouldn't be so easy to control just because new evidence was found. Nicely done. LKK

LKK · 2 November 2003 · Chapter 13: Debt Paid In Blood

I knew it! I knew Herbenna was the murderer. Go me. LOL Now, if only the two detectives will get to the town square in time to save our heroes! LKK *trying to catch up with this story after being unable to read it for so long*

Lady Jaina · 25 October 2003 · Chapter 20: Inner Fear

NO! Soooo long to wait! Legolas and Aragorn might be grateful, but I"m not! Great job! YOu have such a way with angst! I loved the part w/ Elrond calling Legolas little one. BTW, incase you didn't know, the elvish for little one is "tithin min" Just thought that would be neat for you to know if you didn't already! EXCELLENT job!!!!!!!

Author's reply

Aww... I'm sorry for the long wait. I promise to update as soon as I get back or maybe even next weekend if time permits. :) Thanks for the elven translation. I'll store that in my database. *bangs head on screen* There, it's in. LOL!

Alisha B · 25 October 2003 · Chapter 20: Inner Fear

Nov 10!? Wow, that's going to be quite a wait... Good chapter, and since we have to sit here so long, it's a good think it's not a cliffy. Well, I guess it kind of is, but not like the last one. :-) See you when you get back!

Author's reply

I promise you the next chapter will NOT have a cliffie. :) I will see you in two weeks or if I have time to get online next weekend, I'll post Chapter 21. :)

Orophins Dottir · 24 October 2003 · Chapter 20: Inner Fear

King Thranduil is better pleased with your care of his son. At least, he says, that git Elrond is now paying attention or words to that effect. You know how he can be, my lady, when he is in a mood. Therefore, he sends his greetings and best wishes for your training and bids me tell you that, if this training be in archery, he may have an opening soon. Please let him know. The attrition rate is great among his warriors. Humble Scribe to his Majesty Thranduil

Author's reply

Please tell his Majesty Thranduil to rest easy for his son is in good hands and will be getting a 2-week break from torture and pain. P/S: Will continue the torture after I return. *eg*

Alisha B · 22 October 2003 · Chapter 19: The Fight for Survival

It's been a few chapters since I reviewed, but fear not! I am reading everything. What an awful place to end it! I figured they'd have more trouble with all those injuries. Too often, authors give the characters awful and serious wounds and have them back to near perfect health in record time. (elf or no.) But I'm glad to see that there are come complications. I have no doubt, however, that Elrond will be able to patch them both up. Keep up the good work!

Author's reply

Elrond will patch them up. That's what he's here for. LOL! Can't have them die before they reach Rivendell. That would be very bad. King Thranduil and Elrond would have my head! *shudders*

Lady Jaina · 22 October 2003 · Chapter 19: The Fight for Survival

Well, at last I have reached your most recent chapter and I must say that you are an excellent writer. Everything works together in your story so well. I love the trauma and angst! Great job!

Author's reply

Woohoo! Thank you! I should've told you to read slower. When I'm gone, you'll be left hanging for 2 weeks. Eeep!! *hides*

luinthien · 22 October 2003 · Chapter 19: The Fight for Survival

Oh poor Legolas!! You have been soooo mean to him throughout the whole story, I guess it's not going to end until the story is over! It wasn't as gruesome as I was afraid it was going to be. (thank the valar) 2 weeks!!!! 2 WEEKS!!??! what in the world are we going to do??? You can't be that evil can you???? *sobs knowing the answer* Please update PLEASE???!!!

Author's reply

The evilness will die down slowly as the story progresses. :D It wasn't gruesome but when I let a friend read it, she thought it was so I'm putting the warning just in case there are more people like her out there. :) I know, 2 weeks is bad. :( But I can't help it. It's not like I wanted to go. :P I'll update tomorrow and the next installment will be either a week later (if I get a chance to sneak online) or in two weeks. Sorry!

Iawen Londea · 22 October 2003 · Chapter 19: The Fight for Survival

Valar!!! Leave not there Wanda, continue continue continue! *gets on hands and knees and BEGS* LOL you'd better continue or I'll hunt you down.

Author's reply

Come and hunt me down! Muahaha!! What if I tell you this is the last post till 2 weeks later? *eg*

Orophins Dottir · 21 October 2003 · Chapter 19: The Fight for Survival

Ai! What's with these Imladris elves? Have they no suspicions of darkness? Our prince has been coughing up blood for chapters and they're joking? Elrond doesn't tip toe over to take a peek? Send them to us! We shall show them darkness! [takes a deep breath to restore elven calm] As official scribe to his his majesty King Thranduil, I bring you greetings and praise upon your story. May your house be blessed forever. Elven courtesy properly appeased, the King says to take better care of his son or he might lose patience with you. Humble scribe urges you to think carefully upon my liege lord's words. Thranduil throwing a hissy fit is not a thing for a lady such as yourself to experience.

Author's reply

Elrond was too worried about his son to think of anyone else. Besides, Legolas appeared not seriously injured at first glance. Can't blame him. Hehehe. *bows low* I will heed his majesty's words and promise to deliver his son back to him in one piece... more or less *g* *scurries away*

Lady Jaina · 20 October 2003 · Chapter 11: Guilty until Proven Innocent

Small cliffie my foot, but it's okay. I'll read more soon! Oh, I love this fic!!!!!1

Author's reply

Small cliffie compared to some of the others. LOL!! Thanks for reading :D Hope you've caught up with the most recent chapter :)

luinthien · 20 October 2003 · Chapter 18: The Beginning of the End

Hurrah!! Help has finally come! You know that I'm going to tell you that this was too short :) but since you promised to make the next one longer, I'll let you off the hook this time! Gruesome huh? Well it is the halloween season! You are a very evil author!! No more cliffies Please hurry and update!! BTW you are one of the fastest updaters I have come across!! Keep up the great job!!

Author's reply

I know, I know, it's too short. LOL! I've been hearing that a lot lately and soon it's gonna be permanantly imprinted into my mind. LOL! The next chapter is not much longer. Maybe by a few lines only. Hehehe. *hides* Yeah, gruesome. Not sure what your definition of gruesome is but when I let my friend read that part, she told me to put a warning for excessive blood. LMAO! So here's the warning... not for the squeamish type. :P I update fast because the story is completed and it's just sitting in my PC waiting to be posted. :D I don't write that fast! Hehehe

Iawen Londea · 20 October 2003 · Chapter 18: The Beginning of the End

Update NOW mellon nin!! *cries* Don't leave off there!

Author's reply

In time my friend, in time. LOL!!!

Orophins Dottir · 19 October 2003 · Chapter 18: The Beginning of the End

Ai! Ai! Ai! [sounds of elven distress continue softly in the background] I just found and read your story and was about to let you know how much I enjoyedit when my update notification come in. Such joy! Assumes thranduilesqeue attitude--it was SHORT! In a rare merciful moment, I will hear your plea not to kill you. Make haste though on the next installment! It's a lonely life here in Taur e-Ndaedelos and with nothing to read I fear I shall begin to converse with these stupid black squirrels again.

Author's reply

:D I know it's kinda short but need it for the effect. LOL! You have no idea how much fun it is to torture your readers. LMAO!!! Ahem... sorry... it's not good to torture readers, it's not good to torture readers *pounds idea into head* :P

luinthien · 18 October 2003 · Chapter 17: Unbreakable Bond

Yeah!! help is on the way! I really like the connection you've made between Elrond and Aragorn, how Elrond physically feels what Aragorn feels. I've always enjoyed stories between these two. I am really enjoying this story! You are a good writer! Keep up the good work

Author's reply

Yay!! Thank you for your kind words! :D I love it when Elrond worries over his children and Legolas. Hehehe. Me evil as always. *g*

Lady Jaina · 17 October 2003 · Chapter 6: A Small Comfort

Great job so far. This is as far as I got today, but perhaps I will be able to finish soon! I love the angst! Excellent work!

Author's reply

Ohhh, I hope you got to read more! :D And I hope you liked the rest of the chapters too :) *bows low* Thank you :)
