Wouldn't Corudir, Giladan & co. be suprised to know who was listening to their conversation? ;) I love this chapter - I just hope our dear Aragorn doesn't get too ill! Hugs, Sarah xxx

Author's reply

No kidding. Rather embarassing, really... though I certainly would never want to embarass my OCs, oh no... *whistles* Thanks for reviewing :)

Estelcontar · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 2: Chapter Two

I loved this chapter, Ainu. It's good to see Aragorn again sitting in the shadows and listening to what his people have to say about him. I'm sure those public meetings will change most drastically. And trust Aragorn to know which criticism to heed, and which to disregard. I do hope he'll let Giladan, Corugir and Co know about Thorongil's fate. That should be fun to read.

meckinock · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 2: Chapter Two

Elessar in disguise, yay! I hope you'll let him reveal himself to the old fogies gossiping about him.

Author's reply

Ah, well... you'll see what happens. And while they may be old fogies, they're *my* old foggies, which makes them better than other old fogies. I do like that word...

meckinock · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

He's a lucky king if he gets to clear his calendar over a headache. Why do I have a suspicion that he's going to feel worse before this is over though.

Author's reply

Because I'm writing it ;)

Linda Hoyland · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 2: Chapter Two

A very enjoyable chapter. i love stories where Aragorn is incognito.

Author's reply

Oh, I do too. Simply put, there are not enough of them out there.

websterans · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 2: Chapter Two

Excellent chapter. The "king in disguise" bit never grows old.

Author's reply

I agree completely. I wish there were more of those stories out there, actually.

Kitt Otter · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 2: Chapter Two

I like the little voice in Aragorn's head. If only he would pay more attention to it... His vision was cool too. (Not hallucinations, I hope). At least this venture is producing some good, that Aragorn is learning what some of the people think. A little bit embarrassing for the men, though, if they knew. -Kitt : )

Author's reply

Not hallucinations, certainly- I imagine hallucinations would be more along the lines of fiery brimstone and torture, or purple ponies and flying pigs. Both rather terrifying, really... ;) Thanks for reviewing :D

shirebound · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 2: Chapter Two

It's wonderful that Aragorn is hearing, firsthand, what the people are thinking about. He's going to be such a wonderful king.

Author's reply

He's the only king I'd ever follow :D Thanks for reviewing :)

Periantari · 21 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

I love the humor that you put into this piece and love the stubborn Aragorn you have written. How Aragorn evaded the guards was funny too. The coughing sounds serious! I can't wait for more!

Author's reply

The way I see it is that no guy who wanders around a really dangerous world could ever survive if he were not ridiculously stubborn. I mean, you have to be stubborn to *live* in some of the situations he likely encountered. Thanks for the review, perian- sorry there are no hobbits! :P

grumpy · 21 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

Silly man does not know when he is sick, and should be in bed taking a nice long nap and maybe some ice cream for his throat. I visited the website you mentioned, in the first chapter, and want to thank you for all the wonderful fun I had there.

Author's reply

Ice cream sounds *really good* right now... *drools* Glad you liked Tuckborough! It's one of my favorite LOTR sites, especially when it comes to their descriptions on obscure characters. They even have pictures from Decipher's cards, which is simply awesome.

Estelcontar · 21 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

Ainu, I'm so glad to see your muse is cooperating again. I missed your stories very much. And that was a great first chapter. Elessar never learns, does he? Instead of admiting he's ill, there he goes again traipsing all over Minas Tirith. :LOL I loved the bit about his chest of old clothes, and can't wait to see what is going to happen.

harrowcat · 21 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

Oh we are sooooo good at deluding ourselves aren't we? Enjoying this and looking forward to more.

Author's reply

Delusion is fun! Most plots wouldn't exist if someone wasn't delusional ;) Thank you for the review, hope you enjoy this next part as well :D

Raksha The Demon · 20 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

I loved the dialogue between Aragorn and Faramir. "Yes, Naneth" indeed! Something tells me Aragorn is going to regret not taking care of that cold...

Author's reply

I like piling regrets on the characters. It's a fun pasttime. Thanks for the review ^^

Tigger · 20 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

Oh Aragorn...You stupid, stupid Dunadan... *rolls eyes* I did love Faramir joining in w/the distraction and how his and Aragorn's thoughts about the Guards were so eeriely similar. LOL!! I've never had a sinus infection thankfully, but I've heard about them. Aragorn's going to pay for not listening to himself or Faramir. Can't wait to see how this turns out. :oD

Author's reply

Sinus infections are absolutely awful. And those of Dunedain lineage are known to be completely idiotic when it comes to their own well-being *nod* After all, no race dies out that easily without being somewhat self-destructive ;) Thanks for the review :)

pipinheart · 20 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

Very good. Aragorn is sick for once and ignores it. It nice to see him sneak off, and farimir helping him, even that one guard seem to notice. Very nice...

Author's reply

Thank you! After my first reading of the Houses of Healing chapter, especially the last paragraph, I've been half convinced that he often cares more about the health of others than himself. Fanon doesn't help in this regard either ;P

Kitt Otter · 20 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

The scenes between Faramir and Aragorn are so funny; I can just see Faramir's eyebrows contracting and detracting. But poor Aragorn! You describe his coming cold in such a way I started to feel ill. (I mean this in a good way. *grin*) I hope Aragorn knows what he is doing... or will Faramir need to save him? -Kitt

Author's reply

I blame all descriptions on personal experience. *winces* Saving? Why would the king need to be saved? Surely he would *never* get himself in trouble... *cough* ;) Thanks for the review.

shirebound · 20 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

Oh dear, I think our stubborn King is in for a rough time. I hope there's lots of love and healing along the way. :)

Author's reply

*thinks about it for a moment* Love and healing? Never heard of it. *halo falls off of head* Ah, no worries, he'll be fine- eventually. Thanks for the review ;)

Linda Hoyland · 20 April 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter One

An enjoyable start to your story.I liked the scenes for Aragorn and Faramir. Poor aragorn sounds as if he is getting flu or something.

Author's reply

Thank you! Yes, flus tend to be rather annoying and bothersome, don't they?
