Excellent chapter. I giggled through most of it!

Author's reply

Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed it, and I'm tickled that it made you laugh!!!

Larner · 7 August 2008 · Chapter 18: Partners in Crime

Ah, trust Tulip to have the last say! Hooray! Nicely done.

Author's reply

*Grin* Thank you! I'm pleased you enjoyed it!

Pearl Took · 7 August 2008 · Chapter 18: Partners in Crime

Ah! Fond memories of standing in the corner . . . well . . . not so fond actually, but memories nonetheless. It is such a pity that Sancho doesn't realize that Tulip is the only one who isn't daft. ;-) I love how long their promise to behave lasted . . . LOL Wonderful, Cathleen!

Author's reply

Thanks Pearl! Yup, those boys have very short memories, don't they? Heh! Sancho has a lot to learn, I think.

Golden · 7 August 2008 · Chapter 18: Partners in Crime

*giggles* Too sweet! Thanks! Love Sancho and Pip interacting. More Sancho/Pip stories please? :)

Author's reply

Glad you liked it! You *are* insatiable, you DO know that?? *Grin* Coming soon, just for you - your other bunny - "Pig-Napped" - Stay Tuned!!

shirebound · 7 August 2008 · Chapter 18: Partners in Crime

Awww, I'm glad our lads got off with just a wee stay in the corner. I hope Tulip can forgive all those jabs at her dignity!

Author's reply

Hee, yes, poor fat little Tulip has got to teach Sancho a little about maintaining one's dignity!

Andrea · 19 July 2008 · Chapter 17: Sometimes a Cake is Just a Cake: Part Two

LOL!!! I wonder how many slices of cake Togo Goodbody actually had! Pippin liked the strawberry "licker" too, it seems! And Merry learned an important lesson: Pippin's reactions are always faster than you might imagine. So be careful! I enjoyed this story a great deal! Thank you :)

Author's reply

Hee, my guess is that Togo was into more than just the cake! Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed this!!!

Larner · 15 July 2008 · Chapter 17: Sometimes a Cake is Just a Cake: Part Two

JUST a cake? I think not in this case, and I'm proud of Merry for trying his best to keep Pippin from drinking the liqueurs. Silly little Hobbit lad! And am glad the adults did THEIR best to protect the children by eating the cake themselves--valiant warriors of the dining table that they are! Heh! Even though at least one judge did fall to the enemy and became tipsy! And trust Saradoc to manage to get the last piece, and Bilbo to realize what had happened here!

Author's reply

Yep, it was a daunting task, but someone had to do it!! And I have the feeling that Bilbo always knew what was going on with anything that happened around him. Thank you ever so much for reading another of my "Wee Ones"!

Agape4Gondor · 5 July 2008 · Chapter 16: This Little Piggy Went to Market

Delightful as usual... I've never heard of a goose doing such a thing... but I'm a city girl....

Author's reply

Yes, farm geese are an odd lot. Pansy is modeled after my husband's grandmother's goose. Thanks for reading this!!

Neilia · 4 July 2008 · Chapter 16: This Little Piggy Went to Market

Hahahahaha! *uncontrolled giggles as I am trying to type* Pippin sure gets wound up in the wool! Hugs, Neilia

Author's reply

Glad you liked it, hon! *Hugs back*

Andrea · 4 July 2008 · Chapter 16: This Little Piggy Went to Market

Great addition! Pippin always means so well, but sometimes the outcome is not what he intended ;-) “What? No frilly parasols, Pearl! Tulip may be a lass piglet, but she’s not a fancy one.” Pippin sounded mildly disgusted. LOL!!! I can imagine him saying just that! So, one question remains: Will Lily get her blanket? Maybe knitted by Pansy? That wouldn't surprise me anymore :)

Author's reply

Heh, heh, that particular line was my favourite, so I'm pleased to hear you liked it! Lol, I'm sure Pip won't give up til he makes Lily a blanket! As for Pansy, who knows what she might decide to do with those knitting needles....?

Pearl Took · 4 July 2008 · Chapter 16: This Little Piggy Went to Market

Bravo!! This was such a wonderful trip to town, Cathleen :-) Pippin and Tulip do have the most interesting adventures. Thank you for a smile to brighten my morning!

Author's reply

Hi Pearl, I'm glad to hear it brightened your morning - I hope Tulip continues to get a smile from you every time you read about her!!

Golden · 4 July 2008 · Chapter 16: This Little Piggy Went to Market

*L* Sweet story. Love your Pippin and Tulip of course and also Paladin is written great. Pansy ...*giggles*...what a goose!

Author's reply

Thank you, Golden! *Hugs* I'm so pleased you liked it!!

Larner · 3 July 2008 · Chapter 16: This Little Piggy Went to Market

Methinks one wee piggy is becoming very cheeky lately! And Pansy got her nest? Nice. Now--where are those knitting needles? Heh!

Author's reply

Yeah, she is cheeky, isn't she? But I shudder to think of a goose like Pansy running loose with a set of sharp objects!

shirebound · 3 July 2008 · Chapter 16: This Little Piggy Went to Market

Another fun romp with Pippin and Piglet, and the delightful Took family. The soft-hearted lad certainly meant well, and I hope Lily eventually gets her coverlet!

Author's reply

Thanks, Shirebound! Who knows, she might even get pillow slips with that coverlet, hee!

Pearl Took · 14 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Pippin and the Incredible Shrinking Piglet

You are writing the most wonderful stories, Cathleen!! This is wonderful. Fun, Charming. Frightening. Wise. A fantastic tale! Bravo and MEWD!!!

Author's reply

Awww, thanks my friend! Glad you liked it!!

Golden · 11 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Pippin and the Incredible Shrinking Piglet

*L* Oh that is a cute story! Very fine read! Its not the bunny I gave you, but still..veeeery nice. ( And the bunny you could still write :P) Oh and have another bunny for you, just wondered how do other children Pips age like at Brandy Hall react to Pips pink piggy, with clothes that he can dress in. Its a wee bit like a doll. So what do the lads say? Doderic for example or Ilberic? or Sancho in Hobbiton or whereever he lives? Do they tease him?

Author's reply

Heh, great bunnies, hon! Actually, I have been mulling over just that thought. I'm sure some of the lads would tease him a little, so we'll see what comes out of that in a future tale. So glad you liked the way this one turned out, though!!

Agape4Gondor · 8 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Pippin and the Incredible Shrinking Piglet

What an absolutely delightful chapter - I think the best yet! I loved the ease and beauty of it all from the bath and the song to the splashed water to the sister so full of love and the new wardrobe and the easy family love - it was beautiful. And I wondered - as I read - if Tulip might possibly accompany Pip on his journey.... Well - lo and behold - there it was at the end - and it made my heart glad! Huzzah!

Author's reply

I'm so glad you liked it! The Took's are a delightful family to write about, and of course, Pippin is incredibly special and very easy to love. Thank you for reading and letting me know what you thought of this tale!!

Andrea · 7 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Pippin and the Incredible Shrinking Piglet

*Giggles* "Knitted snores" - I wonder how they sound! I came to the same conclusion as Larner. If Tulip is going to accompany Pippin on the quest it might be in another "shape", maybe the scarf. And I'm right glad that Tulip will be always there for Pippin, an always present part of his mother. Wonderful!

Author's reply

Thank you Andrea, I very much appreciate your thoughtful reviews! Like I told Larner, that idea had not occurred to me but it is an interesting idea. Yes, I picture wee Tulip as a lifelong friend for Pip, a special gift from his mum.

Larner · 6 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Pippin and the Incredible Shrinking Piglet

This is so poignant, Cathleen. Does her wool get worked into his scarf?

Author's reply

Thanks Larner! Well, I honestly never thought about that, but it's a fascinating suggestion. Hmm, we'll see....

Dreamflower · 6 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Pippin and the Incredible Shrinking Piglet

Oh Cathleen! I think this is your best Pippin and Tulip story yet! I think the best part is how *loved* little Pippin is by all his family--no matter how much he sometimes exasperates them with his energy and exuberance, it's clear that he is cherish and adored by all. Lovely job!

Author's reply

Aww, thank you Dreamflower, I'm so glad you liked it! Yes, there's a great deal of love amongst the Tooks and I can only imagine what a delight a kid like Pip would be to have around! Thank you again for saying such nice things!

shirebound · 6 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Pippin and the Incredible Shrinking Piglet

Knitted snores! Oh my goodness, have I ever read anything sweeter than that? This story is so full of love I just... just love it!

Author's reply

Thanks Shirebound! It's so sweet of you to say such nice things and I'm pleased you enjoyed it!

Andrea · 2 May 2008 · Chapter 14: Sometimes a Cake is Just a Cake

Yes indeed, plenty to do before the Faire started. Oh dear! What will they do to Bilbo's wonderful kitchen? Another great chapter! I particularly liked it when Paladin placed Tulip on his shoulder the same way as his son uses to do. The saying must be right: Like father, like son :) And now I even know what applesauce is. In German it is called "Apfelmus". Those cakes are delicious, and raisins are a very important ingredient.

Author's reply

Thank you Andrea! It's so nice to hear that you're still enjoying these little tales of Pip and Tulip's adventures!! I do picture Pippin and Paladin to be very much alike.

Larner · 1 May 2008 · Chapter 14: Sometimes a Cake is Just a Cake

And we wonders what it is they plans, we does.... Heh!

Author's reply

Heh, hope you continue to read and wonder!

Agape4Gondor · 1 May 2008 · Chapter 14: Sometimes a Cake is Just a Cake

When Bilbo thought about taking Pip to the store - I almost feel over. I was grateful to hear him change his mind! Though you really have Bilbo's 'voice' down pat! Oh drat - TBC - what horrible letters! Can't wait to see what happens next. Thanks so much for sharing these - they are delightful!

Author's reply

Thank you so much! It's always wonderful to hear such nice comments and they are much appreciated!!

Agape4Gondor · 1 May 2008 · Chapter 13: A Merry Ride

Oh my! What a trial these men are for Tina - and she puts up with it so well. And what a trip! Shees!

Author's reply

Yes, I guess Eglantine gets a great deal of practice, huh?!
