Aelinmir · 6 November 2008 · Chapter 37
I am so glad they are safe...no how about a follow up with not only Elrond but the twins as well I'm sure they will not let their little brother live this down.
Author's reply
I'm sure that they are, too! I'm afraid that there won't be a sequel. I wanted to end the story on the word "Home" with all the good things that implies. Of course, there will also be ribbing from the twins, and Elrond will give them his tea, a stern lecture and worst of all - the eyebrows. :o)
Sitaray · 3 November 2008 · Chapter 37
Yay...at least they got out of that without too much trouble. Is that really the end though? *begs that it is not*
Author's reply
The trouble it took to get out of this mess could have been worse, though I think L & A might argue that point. I'm afraid that it is the end - at least until the next misadventure. :o)
Larner · 2 November 2008 · Chapter 37
Hooray! At last on the way home, and trusting the horses, who've been both smarter--and luckier--that they! So glad that last encounter WAS the last one! A fun run of it, though, I must say.
Author's reply
At last! It took a very long detour to get thim to this point. I bet they will trust those horses a lot more in the future. :o) You, me and a certain elf and ranger, as well. Glad you had fun reading this.
LadyLegolas · 2 November 2008 · Chapter 37
OH MY GOODNESS!!! EXTREMELY DUMB MOMENT! IT'S OVER! LOL! HUZZAH! I really enjoyed this story, and I look forward to more! :D
Author's reply
Yes, it's over, and our guys are on their way home at last. I was beginning to wonder if it would ever happen. :o) I'm very pleased that you enjoyed this wild and crazy ride.
LadyLegolas · 2 November 2008 · Chapter 37
Huzzah! They are on their way home! I hope Legolas and Aragorn make in back still in one piece. The trolls have been rather crafty in the past, but the creatures aren't known for their smarts. Perhaps our beloved Elf and Ranger are home free! I suppose we shall find out next time... :D
Author's reply
Finally! I have a feeling that they will. What happens when Elrond gets his hands on them is another matter. :o) The trolls seem to be able to combine that craftiness with stupidity, and fighting among themselves while their prize escapes is proof of the latter. I don't think the horses will let anything happen to L & A.
Naledi · 2 November 2008 · Chapter 37
*grin* It's about time they relied on their horses to guide them out of trouble, seeing as they seem utterly unable to get themselves out! I think Elrond's treatment is going to make them wish they were back inside their nice, safe cage :) This was great fun. Thanks for sharing it!
Author's reply
I think they should have relied on their horses before they ever entered troll country. I can't help but think that you are right. Elrond's special tea alone might make them rethink their position. :o) I'm very pleased you enjoyed the story.
harrowcat · 31 October 2008 · Chapter 37
I am sniggering at this ending. Perhaps they should have listened to the horses in the first place! I wouldn't want to be in their shoes or boots when Elrond finally gets a look at them nor when Glorfindel sees the horses. I have enjoyed all of this White Wolf.
Author's reply
I think you may be right. L & A should have asked them if it was a good idea to cross troll territory. It might have saved them a great deal of trouble, tht then, think of the story we would have missed. :o) Neither Elrond nor Glorfindel will be pleased, I'm sure. I'm glad this was an enjoyable read for you.
demeter d · 31 October 2008 · Chapter 37
Wow! Isn't it nice that Trols, Orcs and other bad guys have as much love for each other as they do for their other victims! So they are able to quietly slip away. And I am sure they can trust their horses's judgement, perhaps better than their own, since they are not in top shape right now. A thoroughly enjoyable ride!
Author's reply
It certainly is nice for Legolas and Aragorn, that's for sure. Qietly slip away being the payoff here. Even then, they were nearly caught again. I think trusting their horses' judgment was a very good idea on their part. Our poor guys didn't even know which way to start out. I'm glad you enjoyed this wild and crazy ride.
Naledi · 7 October 2008 · Chapter 36
Oh no! I was so sure they were going to get away from the trolls this time. I just hope the different troll factions argue over who gets the prisoners for long enough to give our heroes time to escape.
Author's reply
Oh, yes. Never take anything for granted when L & A get into one of their misadventures. That sounds like a good plan. Now, all we have to do is convince the trolls it's a good plan. :o)
Sitaray · 7 October 2008 · Chapter 36
Omg!!! They were so close! Damn your evil muse....*cuddles Estel and Legolas*
Author's reply
They were. It seems that just as they get a taste of freedom, the boom is lowered on them yet again. I think L & A could definitely use some cuddling about now.
demeter d · 6 October 2008 · Chapter 36
Oh, my gooooooodness! i think the rapids just fell out from under them and threw them over the falls! You really are not going to be tired of this any time soon, are you? But yes, we enjoy every word of their plight!
Author's reply
That would definitely be an Oh, my goodness! I have to tell you that the plot nunny is having a ball, and since he knows how much everyone is enjoying his evil plot, he sees no reason to ever quit. *I must rein that little fur ball in.*
Larner · 6 October 2008 · Chapter 36
Do you really like torturing poor Legolas like this? Poor guy! He's been through the mill this time.
Author's reply
Yes, I do. But then, think of how well he gets through the Quest because of these experiences now. (Are you buying that logic?) :o)
LadyLegolas · 6 October 2008 · Chapter 36
Poor Legolas! Boy..when/if these two ever make it back to Rivendell...*whistles*. I can only imagine the week long lecture Lord Elrond will have in store for them. ;D Come on Aragorn and Legolas! Aragorn...Carrio! Legolas...Tolo dan nan galad! lol Our beloved Elf prince and determined ranger seem to get themselves into the WORST predicaments!! lol
Author's reply
Poor Legolas, indeed. I was thinking the same thing about Lord Elrond and his lectures. Legolas said he would drink a tub of that tea. He may live to regret saying that. :o) Yes, they do. But, think of all the fun we have reading and writing about it!
Naledi · 12 September 2008 · Chapter 35
Oh no! Just when things seemed to be going right, this had to happen. And a fall can't be good for Legolas at the moment :(
Author's reply
Oh yes. Good things always seem to be followed with bad ones, don't they? I don't think the fall will be good for any of them. We'll have to see how it goes. :o)
Larner · 11 September 2008 · Chapter 35
Not again!
Author's reply
Yep, again. :o)
LadyLegolas · 11 September 2008 · Chapter 35
OH NO!!! Just when all seems to be working out for good!!! LOL Come on, Estel and Legolas!! Be more alert! LOL :D
Author's reply
Well, you should know that if things are looking good, they can't stay that way for long. I think they were too busy joking and being tired to be as alert as they should, and now, they seem about to pay for that. :o)
harrowcat · 11 September 2008 · Chapter 35
At least they are together again. Things are looking better - or... they were!
Author's reply
That is the one good thing at the moment. I think they are going to need each other pretty soon.
demeter d · 11 September 2008 · Chapter 35
I ...uh... believe the writer has been called CRUEL before this? A roller coaster? With the way you have had their two story lines rushing seamlessly back together it feels like two rivers in flood, which have now joined at a rocky spot to create thundering rapids. I hope you are in no danger of getting tired of the story soon?
Author's reply
I believe you are right. If roller coasters had existed in Middle-earth, L & A would definitely think they were on one - going full force backwards! I love your rivers in flood, thundering rapids imagery. They probably feel that way, too. We'll see what the plot bunny has in store.
harrowcat · 25 August 2008 · Chapter 34
Ah well the situation has improved to the point that they know that each has survived the river - again! I love how they each want to rescue the other!
Author's reply
That knowledge has got to lift their spirits, and that can help them in their determination to escape. Glad you love that part. Their's is a selfless friendship, which is the strongest kind.
Tink · 23 August 2008 · Chapter 34
At least Aragorn has their horses. I know the trolls are supposed to be stupid, but I've noticed that it isn't the trolls who are bumbling around in Elven territory, is it? I'll bet Legolas and Aragorn stay out of Troll country in the future, for awhile anyway!
Author's reply
Horses are good in this situation. You know, I never thought of it like that, but you are right. You could say that the trolls were just minding their own business in their own territory, when they were invaded! I think you are right again.
Naledi · 22 August 2008 · Chapter 34
I'm hoping that the trolls left guarding Legolas will get into an argument and give Legolas a chance to escape. I felt sorry for the tree. I suppose to Legolas it must feel like watching someone hurt an animal
Author's reply
That would be nice. Maybe I can coax the plot bunny into doing that. :o) I totally agree. Legolas would feel horrible to see any part of the Nature he loves suffer.
Laikwâlassê · 22 August 2008 · Chapter 34
oh my God! Will they ever be able to escape these stupid trolls? Poor Legolas, poor Aragorn. They are not on the lucky side of life at the moment, are they? Lai
Author's reply
I think they are wondering the same thing. :o) I would say that was an understatement, unless you consider the word lucky as referring to bad luck.
Larner · 22 August 2008 · Chapter 34
More dumb, stubborn trolls! Gads!
Author's reply
You are right. But, if they were smart, they would be much more dangerous!
LadyLegolas · 21 August 2008 · Chapter 34
Ah...poor ol' Estel and Legolas. The Man is being chased by a contingent of trolls and Elf is STILL stuck in the tree!!! :D I hope the two of them can find one another again. And soon!
Author's reply
Mercy, they are still in a pickle, aren't they? Maybe things will change - or not. :o) I totally agree. The sooner the better.
