Queen Galadriel · 29 April 2006 · Chapter 56: Cooking For Two

Awww, so sweet that they would miss cooking for two. And I love the description of the celebrations on Frodo's birthday. Wow! Twenty-four! This is my absolute favourite: Oh, my heart, I can hear you sigh in that exasperation when I get stubborn on you. I smile at the thought of seeing and hearing that again, even though I have the strange feeling I’ve lost another argument with you and you aren’t even here! LOL! Awww! *grin* God bless, Galadriel

Queen Galadriel · 26 April 2006 · Chapter 57: Moving Away

I said I was going to bed, but I just *had* to read this first! :) Yes, Elanor would be a splendid mother, as her own mother was. It's amazing what an influence the four travellers' return had on the Shire. The Hobbits begin to look outside their own little land and expand their minds a little, and such names as Elfstan are just a fraction of the results. So, when do we get to learn the name of Fro's lass? :) God bless, Galadriel

Larner · 26 April 2006 · Chapter 48: The Big 7-0

I'm just skimming chapters, not having time to read in depth. But this would be a time for considering just how much Frodo means to all of them. And love the wish they were birds just to fly over and visit. One day--all too far in the future, and yet far too soon at the same time.

Queen Galadriel · 25 April 2006 · Chapter 55: The Gaffer

Oh, wow! Sam a grandpa! Just think! What fun it will be when Sam gets to Tol Eressea and is greeted by so many as if he had lived there always, simply because they know him through Frodo! :) :) :) I needed this after our little angst-fest. :) God bless, Galadriel

Starfire_Moonlight · 24 April 2006 · Chapter 54: A Fair Wedding

Awww! Elanor is all grown up and married! Bet Sam is mighty happy, knowing his daughter has married a good hobbit. :D

Elanor Silmariën · 24 April 2006 · Chapter 54: A Fair Wedding

Oh, how lovely! Elanor's all grown up and married, and Frodo knows about it! That makes me SO happy! This story is very lovely, mellon nin, and I do hope you update again soon! God bless, Elanor

Queen Galadriel · 24 April 2006 · Chapter 54: A Fair Wedding

*beaming* Oh, how lovely, Antane! That's all I can say-it was just...beautiful! God bless, Galadriel

Starfire_Moonlight · 23 April 2006 · Chapter 53: The Waiting Garden

Another beautiful chapter, Antane! That was pretty surprising when Frodo admits he spends more time in the garden than in the library! Sam is going to be some kind of surprised when he finally arrives. :D

Queen Galadriel · 22 April 2006 · Chapter 53: The Waiting Garden

Oh, I love the image of Frodo working among all those flowers and speaking softly to them of Sam! Wow! He spends more time there than in the library? Amazing! LOL! "I can’t until I can come out to this garden and give you a glass of lemon water like I used to do when you were making Bag End so beautiful or until I can come into your bedroom and watch you sleep or have you share a cup or tea or a pipe or a second breakfast with me. Oh, my heart, there’s so much I can’t wait to do with you again! I love you. I can't wait to tell you that again either!" I can't wait, either, until they can do those things together again. God bless, Galadriel

Queen Galadriel · 21 April 2006 · Chapter 52: Proud Papa

*sighs in mock annoyance* You know, I keep saying "this is my favourite chapter," but how can I ever settle on one favourite when each is better than the one before? *grins* I give up; I just adore the whole thing. Proud Papa indeed! It seems the Gamgee brood is flourishing under the hands of dear Sam and Rose as well or better than the garden of Bag End (or any plant, for that matter) flourishes under Sam's hands. Elanor courting and Fro with his eye on a lass! :) And it's so sweet that Frodo and Frodo-lad share the same favourite spot. And you know, the Gamgee children acting out adventures from the Red Book would be the ideal fluffy fic. *ahemhintahem* :) I've been and will continue to be enthralled by this whole series, but there's something about this part especially-an innocence that, in spite of sorrow and many trials, remains untouched, and a warmth that brings peace and content. God bless, Galadriel

Elanor Silmariën · 21 April 2006 · Chapter 52: Proud Papa

I love that Frodo-lad has found Frodo's old reading spot. How sweet! And Elanor and Fastred together! Can't wait for more of this! Love it! God bless, Ellie

Frodo Baggins · 21 April 2006 · Chapter 52: Proud Papa

Oh, this was so sweet! It is nice to imagine that Frodo's namesake would have had similarities. I like this story, Antane. Namarie! GOd Bless, Frodo Baggins

Queen Galadriel · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 51: Lucky Thirteen

Wow! So, young Tolman was born in Gondor, with Aragorn there! :) Oh, but I'm glad he was all right! That can be such a dangerous thing-I don't know how many precious little lives I've heard have been lost that way, and I knew a little girl who had lasting consequences from it. But this is the best chapter yet, I do believe! God bless, Galadriel P.S. So you have statues being made of them too? How did it come about in your universe?

Starfire_Moonlight · 19 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Robin

Welcome back! ^_^ Wow, twelve children. No offense to either Sam or Rose, but how in the world do you keep up with so many little ones? But, just from what I've read, I guess it's all worth while in the end, right?

Author's reply

Hannon le! Good to be back. All those children are definitely worth it I'm sure! My sister has eight (seven here, one in heaven) and I don't know how she does it either but she does! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Frodo Baggins · 19 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Robin

Oh! Antane! Welcome back, mellon nin! *hugs you* I am so glad to be reviewing to you again. I've missed you so. This was a wonderful chapter. Hannon le! Namarie, mellon nin! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Author's reply

Hannon le, my dear Frodo! I didn't even know you were reading this - didn't I lose you somewhere in The Lucky One being the busy bee you are? I'm so glad you are enjoying! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Elanor Silmariën · 19 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Robin

I am so glad they're both healing, and are happy where they are! Very sweet chapter! God bless, Ellie

Queen Galadriel · 19 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Robin

I believe that this is one of those stories that you don't truly realise how much you've missed until you can read more of it. :) This is my favourite paragraph: I spend a lot of time imaging what it would have been like for you. Perhaps with all the distractions of so many lads and lasses, the Ring couldn’t have hurt you so bad, but it’s no use thinking of that. You are happy where you are and I am happy that you are happy. I feel in so many ways that you haven’t really left at all, that you could be just in the next room, where I can’t see you with my eyes, but I know you are there. I feel you so strongly in my heart, it is there that I see you. You are always smiling and laughing and you dance a lot. You are writing and reading and enjoying all the things we always enjoyed here - walks through woods, a smoke on the stoop, so many other things. I can still get lost in the middle of the living room, in the midst of lads and lasses all running around shrieking in childhood joy, and see only you. Rose tells me that I have this smile and peace to me then that I only have otherwise when I look at her or the children and she knows I am looking at you, another treasured no less than her or all the blessings we have. I feel like I keep repeating myself, but it's *so* wonderful to see Frodo healed and happy and rejoicing in being "Uncle Frodo" even from so far away, and Sam as a father is just precious! (No pun intended by the word. :)) I wish I could put my finger on what is so beautiful about this whole series, but I can't. A sort of innocence in spite of everything is as near as I can come. Beautiful chapter! I can hardly wait till the reunion! God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

Hannon le, my dear! I think you are exactly right about the innocence - Frodo's returning to where he was before the Ring. I can't wait for the reunion either! :)

Elanor Silmariën · 2 March 2006 · Chapter 49: Olorin

I know you won't get this till after Lent (I was a little too late in reading these last few chapters) But I couldn't help saying that I absolutely love them! Sam's children are marvelous, and I am so happy that Frodo can finally enjoy them all, even if he can't meet them! It makes me smile. I can't wait for the rest of it, but I guess I'll have to, huh? Anyways, God bless, Namarie, Elanor

Larner · 2 March 2006 · Chapter 39: Master of Buckland

And again the song changes as Sara leaves Middle Earth.

Larner · 2 March 2006 · Chapter 38: Hamfast

And the circle remains unbroken....

Jeodo Brandybuck · 1 March 2006 · Chapter 43: Primrose

You know what? I wasn't really certain whether or not I was going to like this series. I've always found the idea of the grey havens a little sad, because I hated the separation. But now, I'm loving it, and I thank you very much for helping me see a real bright side to the song. Thanks for a terrific read! Jeodo Brandybuck

Author's reply

A very belated, but heartfelt hannon le for your kind comments! I hope you continue to enjoy! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

harrowcat · 1 March 2006 · Chapter 49: Olorin

Whew! Caught up with the letter shower! Great stuff. You have my admiration in giving up hobbits for lent. I actually considered it myself but decided that I derive more spiritual benefit from reading than abstaining to give them up. Besides I have many more evil habits to give up first! *grin* Things like eating too much, driving everywhere, eating, etc, etc!

Queen Galadriel · 28 February 2006 · Chapter 49: Olorin

Well, I read all the last chapters in one go without stopping. Now I wish I had-they would have lasted longer! :) But you leave us on a very happy note; we know that Frodo and Sam are healed and delightfully busy and happy, and that's very heartening. You certainly did make a heroic effort, as you said, and it was more than I could have done. And six weeks is far more bearable than sixty years! As this is my last chance to do so, I'll say, good luck on those six weeks. And if it's any encouragement, it does us all good to take a break sometimes, and it makes the return the sweeter-for author and readers! :) I still remember how rapturously I read the first chapter of TLO after Advent. God bless, Galadriel

Queen Galadriel · 28 February 2006 · Chapter 42: A Merry Wedding

I'll echo Frodo: FINALLY! Goodness, Merry, your poor Bride! She might even have had a longer wait than Rosie! :) Ah well, it's happened now! God bless, Galadriel

Queen Galadriel · 28 February 2006 · Chapter 41: Took and Thain

Aw, poor Pip! But dear me, Antane, you can't write a sad chapter without giving something to smile at, can you? Thain Pipsqueak...LOL! That's cute! God bless, Galadriel
