I think I agree with Fionwë about Turgon needing watching. He's behaving like a recently released Reborn, ready to get one of the patented Reborn reactions at the drop of a circlet (since he probably wouldn't want to use anything as _common_ as a hat.) I wonder if a few of the Valinorean visitors were feeling juuust a bit covetous in Nick's shop? I guess that if they decide to go shopping for souvenirs, a few piles of books for the various Royal libraries wouldn't go amiss. Although it looks as if Turgon would prefer a skateboard. If he gets one, I'm certain Turgon is going to make the streets and plazas of Tirion dangerous with his new toy - and just how long are the other Reborn going to wait before they start building their own skateboards and emulate him? ;-) Speaking of Turgon, I wonder what is going on in his mind about Alex? I can almost hear the wheels whirring around in his skull as he watches Alex drive away. Sounds as if he is heading for a ... dicussion with Alex as well as one with Glorfindel. Author Reply: Hi Sunny. I remember that commercial about the cowboys herding cats. Very amusing. I have no doubt that the Valinórean Elves are indeed feeling covetous for Nick's shop and I suspect that some are even envious of Finrod being able to work there though they would never admit to it outloud. I think Turgon is trying to figure Alex out and that's not something even those Elves who know him well can do with any real certainty, not even Ron. We'll have to see what happens after this. | Hi Fiondil I hope that you had a good Xmas and New Year. Living in Perth Western Australia, at this time of the year its usually hot. At least this year the weather for Xmas Day was nice. Hope the weather was nice for your day. I enjoyed this chapter very much. Really glad to see the cast in Wiseman. I am still not sure where you are going with this story. | Good morning, Atya, and Happy New Year :) Looks like I might be first to review this time (isn't that a reversal!) My favorite moments of this chapter were Nick talking to the book, Turgon and Alex (got to keep that ice cream from melting) and "We saw a dragon". Really the whole chapter is my new favorite but those bits had me stifling laughter (really stifling as it's nearly 3 AM and I need sleep and shouldn't be waking up people) I love the idea of skateboarding Elves. But maybe not Turgon. lol :) I think Turgon needs a few lessons in tact, but then, he's a Reborn, so... Love the glimpse of Erestor's store. :) Looking forward to Monday!!! Turgon needs a lot of lessons, but I think he's not as bad as he appears, just very confused. He remembers Middle-earth and nothing around him even looks similar to what his memories are.
