Now, that is quite the eventful time! I so hope that none of the children was badly hurt.

Author Reply: Yes, very eventful, Larner. As for the seriousness of the injuries, we will learn about that in the next couple of chapters. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

Hm, it sounds to me as if Turgon could do with some remedial time in Lorien, his time in Mandos does not appear to have had a salutary affect on him! Was he always this arrogant?

If nothing else Elrond will be one more person to hold hands and help soothe frightened children and parents. Always a big issue when dealing with the aftermath of any incident involving children.

I think Sunny is right and Turgon will be one to cause problems, among others that is!

Hope all the Elf friends children are O.K. and that Olorin is on his way to help out.

Waiting for Monday,
Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. Turgon will be dealt with later in the story. And you're right that Elrond can at least offer comfort to children and parents. We'll have to see. As for who causes problems, that remains to be seen. We'll learn more about the accident and all in the next couple of chapters, but yes, Olórin is on his way to help out, as we will eventually see. Thanks for reviewing. Hugs back.

Have you ever started reading a very good book, been interupted and had to put it down? Remember how frustrated you felt? That's how I feel right now. This is a very good story. I'm glad Elrond is back...maybe permenantly? I hope so.

Author Reply: I know what you mean, BOotsgrandma, but at least you don't have to wait too long for the next chapter. :) We'll see what happens with Elrond and Celebrían now that they are back in Middle-earth. I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

The visitor Elves are learning a lot about what has been happening to the Elves who did not sail. I am sure you will have them seeing a lot more as they tour Wiseman and interact with the mortals. I hope that the three pastors will get the chance to meet the kings. The interaction between the two groups would be interesting to say the least. And even a confrontation with the anti-Elf group might benefit the Elves and those who are still on the fence about what groups to support.

I am also glad that the original Elves who came with Finrod now seem to be settling into Mortal society. It sounds like the plans for the Elves to become Rangers has progressed nicely. I could see some of them in the future chasing down some criminal who thinks that they can hide in the wilderness while creating havoc. Hiding from an Elf would be a hopeless task I would expect.

I also hope that the children from the bus accident can be helped by the doctors. Though Elrond is not a recognized medical doctor, his ability to calm and heal should help little ones who have to be terrified of their ordeal. Even helping the parents as they try to find out what has happened to their children will be necessary.

It sounds like the next couple chapters will be packed with things going on between the Elves and the Mortals. Even when people are not running around dealing with emergencies, your chapters are well written and contain a lot of information to help progress the story.

Hope that you have a wonderful weekend. Looking forward to Monday.

Author Reply: Hi rikki. Yes, they are learning a lot and they will learn a lot more during their stay in Wiseman. There will be several kinds of confrontations and meetings between them and the Mortals as you will see in subsequent chapters. The Elves who originally came with Finrod appear to be finding their way now that many of them have specific goals to aim for, such as becoming board certified doctors and rangers.

We will see in what capacity Elrond is able to help at the hospital over the next couple of chapters and yes, the chapters that follow this one are jam-packed with excitement of one kind or another. I am glad you find my chapters well written and informative. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and letting me know. I appreciate it very much. Have a great weekend yourself.

I just hope the Elrond will be permitted to use his healing skills on behalf of the injured. We know that he's a great healer, but since he never went to medical school, he may not be recognized as such by the hospital staff.

Author Reply: Hi KathyG. We'll see in what capacity Elrond is able to help out. It's true that without a recognized medical degree he would not be allowed to actually do medicine, but he will be able to help in his own way. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

Oh dear! I hope there aren't any seriously injured children! But I have a feeling that Elrond is in for a real "eye-opener" as a small friend of his would once have called it. He'll observe his sons in action, as well as get an up-close look at the various advances in mortal technology.

I wonder what's up with Turgon? It sounds like he hasn't done as well as some in re-entering the land of the living.

The rest of the conversation was fun, seeing the various reactions of the newcomers to the news they were hearing. I do look forward to seeing the reactions to the tour of the town and to the various instruments of technology that the first batch of newcomers have only barely had time to get used to yet. And now there is a whole 'nother group of Elves who will have to learn what phones and cars and televisions are.

And Olorin/Gandalf's presence continues to delight me.

Author Reply: Hi Dreamflower. The next couple of chapters will actually be from Elrond's POV as he joins his sons and the other healers at the hospital. Turgon's situation will be addressed later and we will also see the tours and what comes of them. I'm glad Olórin's presence continues to delight you. He's always a joy to write. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Oh dear, I hope Turgon will behave while he is in Wiseman. But I rather doubt it. In fact, I think I can safely predict that he will be like a recently Reborn (aka trouble magnet) and be the epicenter of at least one major bit of trouble.

Heh. I see that Vorondur is like Finrod in at least one respect, that being never making threats, only promises.

So Ingwë describes himself and his compatriots as being ... persistent ... about coming to the wedding. I am sure that the Valar would describe them as being absolute pests! ;-) Especially Celebríam and Elrond. And surely Galadriel as well. Ingwë has applied the label to himself, you might say, and I'm sure Arafinwë has been rarred with the same brush. And I'm certain a lot of those who were forbidden to go are rather pouty about that, as well as hoping that the next time someone from Valinor goes to Wiseman they will be more ... persuasive. ;-)

So has the Gwyn-and-Mithrellas cat slipped out of the bag? It certainly sounds like it! And it also sounds like nobody have any objections about it!

Hmmm. Wonder how the Wiseman Elves are going to explain computers and the Internet to the visitors?

Author Reply: Hi Sunny. Turgon has issues and we'll see how it goes with him and Glorfindel later. And yes, Vorondur never makes threats, which are useless in the long-run anyway.

Ingwë and the other three kings probably set out to make Manwë's life miserable. Add Elrond, Celebrían, Galadriel and Celeborn into the mix and the Valar were probably glad to get rid of them for a bit. *grin*

As for Gwyn and Mithrellas, that remains to be seen.

Thanks for commenting. It's appreciated.

Its very nice to know that the first batch of Valinorean Elves have adjusted and integrated themselves so well into mortal society, and like it enough, that none of them are eager to take the opportunity to return to the Blessed Realm.

So far not a word from Nell's parents, more particularly Galadriel, about Nell and Gareth. Celeborn seems like a very cool dad to have, but I wonder how the Lady of Light will react. And Glorfindel's remark about potential hostages - and with so many kings and lords present - just seems portentous. I hope that's just his Captain-of-Imladris instincts going into overdrive, but I am not too sure.

Oh, I just can't wait to read the rest of the stories.

Author Reply: It's taken them awhile, but I think they're finally settling in. I think having specific goals has helped. As for Nell's parents, I think they are waiting for a more appropriate time to confront their future son-in-law, probably at the dinner that they've arranged with Alex. I am afraid that given the nature of this story with all its myriad plotlines, some things will be said "offstage" so to speak and we will only hear about them from others. Sorry about that.

As for the talk about hostages, we can hope that Glorfindel is just being his usual paranoid self, but that doesn't mean the threat isn't real or could happen. We'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for reviewing, Celeth. I'm glad you're looking forward to the rest of the story. I appreciate you letting me know.
