Elf Academy 3: The Enemy Within  by Fiondil 13 Review(s)

O my, Alex really is a bad patient, if it takes Námo to tell him to keep quiet! He shouldn't rush himself during his recovery time, no matter how badly he wants to be in full swing again!

But at least Alex is finally getting to see that other side of Námo, so I wonder what he thinks about him now. And I think both Alex as well as the Elves in the room have a lot to think about.

Amroth really cares a lot aboutAlex, doesn't he?

I think Alex and Glorfindel really need to sit together for a while and talk about their encounters with Atar. It will also make Alex see a whole different side of Glorfindel, I think.

And it seems Alex and Felicity are really getting somewhere now. Loved it how the Elves were about to come in when things were getting started between the two lovebirds.

Author Reply: Hi FV_Whisper. A bad patient, indeed. You're right that Alex is getting to see another side of Námo that most people don't see this side of the grave. Amroth, I think, sees Alex as the son he never had. There was obviously a connection made between the two of them and I think Alex sees Amroth as the dad he never knew, since his dad died before he was born. Even when his own children are born, Amroth will probably still consider Alex as a son. Eventually Alex and Glorfindel will need to talk about their encounters with Atar, but for Alex, the experience is too new; it'll take some time for him to be able to talk about it to another. I think Alex and Felicity make a lovely couple. They both deserve some happiness. Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it very much.

I see that Alex has being a bad patient in common with Glorfindel. Of course, he isn't really in Glorfy's league - I'm sure any number of healers, bot in Aman and in Middle-Earth can testify that Glorfindel is the worst patient ever. Still, I see that Alex is doing his best to give his healers grief. ;-)

Heh. Of course Alex feels exhausted. Dying (or nearly so) clearly takes a toll!

I see Alex is making a move here - and I hope Felicity has her hook well set, so that her catch won't escape her! :-D

Author Reply: No one is a worse patient than Glorfindel. LOL! I find that people who are rarely if ever sick do make the worse patients. Those of us who have been in and out of hospitals for whatever reasons tend to learn patience, knowing that if you act civil toward your caregivers, they'll treat you accordingly.

Yes, as the poet Rilke says, "dying is hard work", so it's no wonder Alex is feeling exhausted. And I am sure Felicity is going to make darn sure this one doesn't get away. *grin*

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, Sunny. I appreciate it very much.

sounds like Ann will be needing to come back and meet her future daughter-in-law. Which may mean more of Andy. :)

Gareth is rather shy still with everyone, but then I think if I was around so many "legends" who see Namo among others; I would be a bit shy also. Perhaps Judd and the original human elfs wills have something knew to learn. I kind of like the zombie killing camp. I would die as I am not that talented, but I would still love to sign up for the camp. Yea, I know. No where did we read about this in this chapter. Just when I started talking about Gareth my mind went there.

so until Monday have a great weekend :)

Author Reply: Hi Laer. Well, it's a bit early to tell if the relationship between Alex and Felicity will go anywhere, but I can see there being a wedding for them in the future. We'll have to wait and see how things go between them.

Gareth has every reason to feel shy around these people, even the ones who aren't "legends". They are all ancient beings even by his standards and he must be feeling terribly young right now when dealing with them.

I'm not talented that way either, Laer, but I think the zombie hunter boot camp would be a lot of fun, too.

Thanks for reviewing. Have a great weekend yourself.
